- How do you hold on to hope in moments of suffering? Dr. Curt Thompson joined me to dive deeper into the believer’s relationship with suffering and hope. In his latest book, “The Deepest Place: Suffering and the Formation of Hope,” Dr. Thompson pairs his clinical knowledge as a psychiatrist with his own life experience, allowing him to engage with his patients and readers of his books with empathy.
What would happen if you, too, leaned into moments of suffering and supported your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? When you use tough moments as opportunities to lean on others in the faith, you can experience the glory and the goodness of God.

Stress and depression would not allow me to receive the message with my ears but my spirit felt the power of his words and body and soul trembled with gratitude.
Agree we shouldn’t be silent when we are suffering… There’s a lot of people who are suffering today more than ever!
Chrystal, your podcasts are powerful. Those who need to hear it will hear it. Continue to do what you do from your heart.
His heart! And emotional intelligence! Wow😳🙏🏾
yes... crazy that they both exist in the same space.
You are a great interviewer. I love the analogy of us being similar to pets in that we crave the love and approval of our master.🙏
Thanks for the encouragement!
She really is! She ask the questions that I'm thinking every time.
Excellent information
This was so good. I need to listen again to truly absorb it all. Chrystal your interviewing skills are unmatched. Your questions are always on point! Thank you for sharing this!
Beautiful conversation, very enlightenining and challenging. I am so scared of owning my suffering, let alone sharing with other people. The shame, guilt and shame stops me from being in community with other people in my life, people who actualy care about me.
Yes!! Hope….The Two Words Practicing and Experiencing. One example I will share. even though there are others. Hope for me that I will learn this new technology and not give up to learn. I’m stop being silencing my suffering. When I have question how to work it my family has been helpful. Even when I repeat it over asking. I finally got it. I enjoyed this.😍♥️♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾🙏🏽🙏🏾

Thank you, Chrystal for this conversation. I could feel the Holy Spirit inviting me to approach Jesus unafraid, in full transparency. He is our honest broker. At -One -Ment - He’s there with me and is waiting for me in my suffering. 🟡
