It's funny I was just out of body shop where they told me how terribly impossible it is to take this front bumper off justifying the hours and hours of labor to simply have it repainted I'm glad I saw this thank you
Thank you for such a clear and detailed video. My girlfriend - with almost no mechanic skills - was also confident about doing it on her own. Awesome explanation!
This video is so simple and easy to understand. I have a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and it went exactly how you said and honestly, it turned out to be a very simple task (changing the headlights). Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for this. I was just quoted an insane price to remove my bumper and fix the clips on a trim piece. I will be able to fix the broken clips and a chipped/cracked Headlight, thanks to your video. ❤ 🚗 ====== 💨
Very useful and helpful! I'm realizing that the little patch job I want to do is going to be a bit hindered by lacking space and the wash plate underneath, so definitely not a Me in the Garage situation but I'm certain to reference your video in the future when I can get some space and a little help!
I had to loosen it with a wrench (not a ratchet) and then used my hand to unscrew it. The fender is sharp and cut the back of my hand. It’s the hardest part of the bumper removal.
Hey Martin,, in behind the bumper cover is there a steel reinforced bumper bar ,I really couldn't see it in the video.......The reason I ask is I have a 2020 Challenger SXT that has no fog lamps, but has the factory pre cut outs for fog lamps . I plan on installing a set of aftermarket fog lamps but I will need a place to install the fog lamp brackets in behind the cover to hold the fog lamp assembly in place........Great video , 😊 thanks.
Love your videos. I have a 2007 dodge charger srt8. Can you show a video on installing a front bumper cover? I am having a hard time reinstalling it. Thank you
It is possible to replace the fender without taking off the bumper. But we prefer to take it off to ensure proper installation. See our video on how to remove the fender.
Do all 2012 SXT Challengers have the same bumper removal process? Ive seen other videos where they had to remove screws from underneath the car in order to remove the bumper...but i noticed Martin didn't do that. .
I need the part number for the nut right at the 3.00 min mark. Goes on the rod behind splash guard . I know it's 10mm but I need the actual thread size or part number tia
So I see you didn’t opt to put the close-out panels back on, I assume got smattered with whatever damage that happened there. That’s what I’m facing is do I even worry about em, what do they do, where exactly did they even go. Can’t find anything online
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC I’ve tried the extension but the 10 mil doesn’t seem to grip it. I’ve got it lose enough where it turns but either way I turn it, it starts to tighten with my fingers
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC literally got every thing else off except those 2. Took me 30 minutes for everything else and these are taking me several hours of trying
Damn, I would’ve cleaned and detailed the inside before. I would’ve put it back together but that’s just me. Well at least I know how to remove the front bumper. Thanks.
Thermal expansion/contraction of plastic is way higher than steel, it also deforms by time. The other issue is the paint. You can not use the same paint on that part of the car! I wonder what the designers were thinking!
All the plastic body parts on my challenger are pretty loose even the grill and trim just kinds wiggles..pretty upset about it im assuming its normal becsuse even the newer ones just seem like the bumpers and grills just arent mounted/held on very solid
Good luck! My.bumber and grill all the plastic/fiber pieces on my body seem loose and wiggle..bums me out so bad idk if it needs new clips or what or maybe challengers sre just like that??

I hit a raccoon last week, and I'm thinking about changing my front bumper, as well.
And the chin spoiler. Thank you so much for this!
change it for the scat pack/hellcat bumper
@@Brwinka I thought about that, but I'm just gonna keep it as original as possible.

Amazing video. Thank you. Plan on removing mine to install grille lights
Great cameraman🤝
Hey thanks for showing the video removing the bumper I appreciate it.
Thank you so much for sharing. Today I had a slight accident and need to remove the front bumper. This video will be very helpful.
Hey! I love how this cut to the chase and made it seem easy. Now it is my turn to actually try it. Haha. 😎
Thank you so much now is gonna be much easier to remove the bumper!
Hi what are those plastic pieces that you took off first when just starting
That bolt inside the wheel well you make look so easy. I have no room to twist w my box wrench!

There is a steel bar behind the bumper. It usually has a removable molded hard foam cover.

Is the 2015 bumper any different?
Its crazy how cars nowadays aren’t made out of much. Plastic.

Any idea where to buy a new front bumpers for a 2010 dodge challenger?
Amazon has various front bumper covers.

The 2 plastic pieces 1 under the lever, What's the name of those? Need to order some. Thanks
You mean the ones that are protecting cars underneath?
@@Russian_polite_man found them thanks
Do you know what type of rivets/clips you got? And where did you find them at??
They are bumper push pins. Here is a link to order them on Amazon $6!

Any tips for that inner screw? Can’t seem to even find room to turn my wrench in there
You may have to use an extension (or 2) on your ratchet. I did one turn on the nut and then it was loose enough to get off with my hand.
