Loved this one and so glad you checked it out. Saw it live two days after release at Gradpop and it really hit! The synthwave synths gives it a slightly different feel to the other singles so they’re all distinct but cohesive. Love Maria‘s voice and especially Johannes‘ drum work on this one. Since you mentioned production produced by the guy from Annisokay,, another great German metalcore band. Also I don’t usually care that much about song lyrics but with Maria the texts really grab me, and this one (to me) about the way depression locks you into this space away from the rest of the world, where you feel numb and disconnected but also „safe“ away from the rest of the world, afraid to wake up and confront reality is really something. Yet another dimension to her talent!
