I have a Khaki King and it’s one of the most comfortable watches I own. The hands have a great sword shape and gloss lume, and the layout is straight out function and beauty.
Yup I definitely know of Hamilton through movies lol, specifically The Raid: Redemption. It’s kinda silly sometimes the length to which Hamilton goes to market their watches, and Oppenheimer didn’t even have any watch shots despite the heavy tie-in. Nevertheless, I’m glad it’s a respected brand like Hamilton that’s being marketed towards audiences and not some fashion watch company. Hamilton is the perfect entry level Swiss watch brand and gateway drug into watch collecting.
The Jack Ryan chronograph got me interested in watches. I saw the series and thought his watch looked badass. After figuring out it was more than I wanted to spend on a watch, and many attempts to find something similar for less, I eventually got that watch. I wear it about twice a year, because it’s such a big chunk and I have a small wrist, but I still love it. Looks so nice sitting in my watch box.
The Hamilton Khaki was the first watch I saw that I just had to have. I saw it and flat fell in love with it. I loved everything about it; the legibility, the simple design, the no nonsense attitude of it. And now I own 8 Hamiltons and I still go back to that first Khaki and wear it. Hamilton is probably my favorite brand and I plan to drive to Lancaster, PA this year and see their facility there .
I must whole heartedly say, this American watch brand has slowly become my favorite. Wearing a Hamilton Khaki King right now, and it has been my absolute favorite every single day I've worn it.
My second watch was a Hamilton jazzmaster. I knew nothing about watches. But I told the jeweler at Ben Bridge I wanted something a bit more than $300. He introduced me to the Hamilton jazzmaster. Since then I’ve purchased luxury watches like Rolex and IWC. But when I put on my Hamilton it takes me back to that day in Ben Bridge when I just began learning about watches.
I dropped my Hamilton Below Zero from chest high (3.5 ft) onto my ceramic kitchen floor. It landed face down. I looked at my watch laying there in horror. Picked it up and with great relief, absolutely nothing was damaged on the watch. The crystal was perfect and it still runs true! I have 2 other Hamiltons and truly believe these will last until the end of the world. Sometime soon I imagine...
I first knew them when Dean Winchester of Supernatural started wearing one in season 12. I not only procured that one (Khaki Field Titanium), but my daily beater is now a Khaki Air Race Red Bull with the black sandwich-esque brushed dial and the orange markers.
The strange design makes sense for Dune, since other planets have different daylight times… it suggests that this device is adaptable when space traveling even though it’s mechanic - which also fits perfect for the Dune universe where all forms of advanced computers and AI are forbidden.
I grew up in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, just 40 miles from Lancaster,pa., the home of the original Hamilton factory. I have known of Hamilton Watch Co. since I was a kid. Ware my Hamilton Titanium Khaki in my weekly rotation.
I own more expensive watches, but I still love my Hamilton Khaki Field 42 (7.25 inch/18.5cm wrist). Its ETA movement keeps better time than an AP and is as good as Rolex (even if you hate Rolex, they do make very accurate mechanical timepieces). My Khaki runs about + 1.5 secs a day, and that's at worst, as it is often more accurate depending on weather and other factors. I also love the history though a 42 is not traditional. Great watch that I enjoy wearing as much as more costly ones.
I own a Frogman. I wanted it after seeing it on the wrist of Black Manta in the first Aquaman movie. I am asked about it regularly due to its unique footprint.
I'd never heard of Hamilton watches until I got back into watches 4 or 5 years ago.(I live in the UK) I was looking for a stylish mechanical field type watch for under £500,( about 630 dollars)and the Khaki Field Automatic 38mm kept getting really good reviews and looked like the sort of watch I was looking for so it became the first watch I bought, I love it, back in the 90s when I last spent my money on watches there was no TH-cam to check out all the brands that I wasn't familiar with.
Gramps had one. Pop had one. To their dismay, I'm a Seiko guy. I am, however, in love with that little W-10 hand winder reissue they put out a few years ago.
Alright, Jory, give me your opinion of the Hamilton Aviation X-Wind GMT. I’ve been looking at it pretty hard. What’s a better option at this price point?
My biggest gripes with Hamilton are 1) too many date windows at 3 ruining beautiful dials 2) unimpressive lume or no lume on “aviation” watches 3) too many models with the Powematic 80 movement that would be better operating at a higher beat rate and with a bigger barrel to extend power reserve 4) they don’t offer movement upgrade options
Rolex has a crown because they are the king of marketing. Because of this, anybody that doesn’t know watches, you know the 98% of the population, think when they see a watch in a movie it’s a Rolex because most people can’t even name another watch brand… let alone a luxury brand…
I reckon that Dune watch does absolutely nothing. It's amazing though how many Hamiltons make it into movies but they're not getting the publicity they deserve to some extent. Btw, the Murph is an almost photo copy of the Seiko SPB155J Alpinist. If you want the original design, get the Alpinist, not the Murph.
It is my favorite movie from him. And I like most of his movies. It’s the movie I think about most on a regular basis, years after. The existentialism of it is what gets me. The end seems weird, until I recognized its ability to sum up metaphysical / existential concepts so well. I don’t particularly like the Murph watch though. 🤷♂️
I have a Khaki King and it’s one of the most comfortable watches I own. The hands have a great sword shape and gloss lume, and the layout is straight out function and beauty.
My first automatic real watch was a hamilton.
Still got it. It still works and looks perfect almost 20 yrs later.
Excellent bang for buck.

Gateway? I owned a Rolex and a Cartier. Then later on I got into Hamilton. Lol.
I have a lovely old Hamilton doctor's watch from the 30s or so. It's from my great grandads bro. My dad gave it to me years ago.

Ventura worn by Elvis in Blue Hawaii 40 years before MIB. Ya, they been at this for awhile.
I must whole heartedly say, this American watch brand has slowly become my favorite.
Wearing a Hamilton Khaki King right now, and it has been my absolute favorite every single day I've worn it.
My L.L.Bean quartz field watch I used in the early 80s, while being in the BOY SCOUTS, was a Hamilton khaki.❤
My second watch was a Hamilton jazzmaster. I knew nothing about watches. But I told the jeweler at Ben Bridge I wanted something a bit more than $300.

I never thought about it but it is really impressive how a small company was able to crack media placement so well. Good job.

Love some of their designs. Hamilton have almost become the 90’s Pepsi of watches with the max push with product placement lately.
My father was a watch repairman and I have his everyday carry Hamilton, it's a pocket watch called a Hamilton masterpiece. I'll never let it go.
My Hamilton Cooper! Matthew McConaughey’s timepiece in Interstellar . Best Pilot watch ever!
Don’t forget Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny as another very recent release with a Hamilton!
I've yet to own a modern Hamilton wrist watch, but have a few antique railroad pocket watches, specifically the 992.
Gramps had one. Pop had one. To their dismay, I'm a Seiko guy. I am, however, in love with that little W-10 hand winder reissue they put out a few years ago.
I came VERY close to buying a Frogman 2 weeks ago in Vegas.
Alright, Jory, give me your opinion of the Hamilton Aviation X-Wind GMT. I’ve been looking at it pretty hard. What’s a better option at this price point?
Strangely nobody talked about the Hamilton Dragon (Chinese Horoscope Year) Ventura based, which wasn’t in any movie but is very cool 😎!
3:15 use your minute repeater and attract a sand worm
I own the day date chrono it's awesome
Josh Hartnett wore a Hamilton in Pearl Harbor. It fits because it was worn by many Pilots during the War.
I have some jazz masters but want 3 more: Khaki Chronograph, Intramatic Chronograph and AMERICAN CLASSIC BOULTON MECHANICAL
I have 4 Hamiltons in my collection and there will be at least two more added soon
The Raid is super high adrenaline man! Much so, that I missed seeing the Hamilton!
Or Tissot and James Bond, or Seiko and James Brown Bond, or.....
Don’t forget Hamilton in……James Bond! Roger Moore wearing a Hamilton Pulsar LED watch early in Live and Let Die!
That Dune watch gives the 2001 A Space Odyssey watch a serious run for it's money! 🤣
Christopher Nolan always puts Hamilton watches on his movies, also the Ventura was famously worn by Elvis.
Yo, you should watch Oppenheimer, it's a chill movie
started with a khaki quartz then an alan from 1947 then i assembled a pilot watch with a 917 pocket watch movement
Fun video. Look forward to seeing more.
You should watch Oppenheimer. It was good
Should have been a Khaki Mechanical. No need for water resistance on Arrakis.
I have a Hamilton
Haven't wore it in 2 years
I love my khaki frogman !
X-Wind has a screw down crown.
Yup, as well as the khaki navy pioneer 43mm 👍
Elvis has worn a Hamilton Ventura.
Hamilton Jazzmaster just seemed too cool to me
Wait, I thought you were never going to buy another Hamilton?
Indiana Jones wears a Hamilton Boulton in his most recent movie!
"All Is Lost" SKX009
i admit i bought a hamilton because of farcry 6 lol .
Nothing wrong with that. Wear what you like. That reason is as good as any.
The dune ones they released do not look like the prop kinda a bummer I wish it looked like the prop I’d gladly pay the $2500 price tag
My father's 18K Hamilton tank case...
My wife gets annoyed when we are watching a movie and i yell out, "did you see that Hammy!"
Hamilton watches are featured in over 500 movies and TV shows☝🏻

they need to make that Dune watch into a real watch
The Rock wears a Hamilton in Central Intelligence.
Wow, interesting. I always thought Rolex was the leader in watches in movies
Hey noob to the channel! if you were going to buy a Hamilton where would you buy one?
Jory!
Actually prefer vintage Hamilton
i wear hamilton khaki everyday its roust and awesome
US Army 1985. Wish I knew then what I know now. It was a great watch.
In Jaws, chief Brody wears a Hamilton Lyndon CLD.
Elvis
I know Hamilton because 3 generations of my family worked there in Lancaster, Pa
Worm proof to 300m long….sorry, worm resistant
First of all Bro it not pronounced Doon. It's pronounce Do-Nay. It's French. Such a Yank.
The Murph is the one watch that I cannot get behind thanks to the movie. Interstellar sucks. It is Nolan's weakest movie.
I guess your youth lets you off but I can remember so many shots of Elvis with that crap triangle thing. And more respected chrono in GI Blues
No watch company bullshit better than rolex
I have an old Hamilton pocket watch I got from my Grandfather.
