Thanks for this video! We went to Dubai Feb, 2022 for EXPO and rented a car. Drove to Abu Dhabi, then out to Hatta. Whew! Expensive to stay out there. The Hatta Guest House was a simple room in a mall, and cost almost $300 on a Thursday night in February! Almost double that for a Friday or Saturday. Lodging at Hatta Wadi Hub was even pricier! But the ride was fun. We did the easy one that was featured in the video, then hiked up into the Hajar Mountains. Interesting area. One can hike to a fenced wildlife area where I understand that they have Oryx. I recommend visitors drive over to see the nearby Old Hatta Village, and then drive up to the Hatta Lake. The lake features an incredible design for hydro power. There is actually an upper reservoir too. Water flows down to the lower lake via a tunnel and turns a turbine for power. The water is then pumped back UP to the higher lake using solar power!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you had a great time! But yes, hotels are expensive! And good shout on the visiting the lake - you can kayak on it too :) th-cam.com/video/tSqu3HIS8k4/w-d-xo.html
Hi everyone, if you liked this video you can also watch how to explore Hatta on horseback. It's suitable for even the most inexperienced riders (like me!) and could well be the UAE's most peaceful adventure!. Hi there, minimum age is 10+ and over the height of 120cm. You can call them on 0502013011 as I would imagine kids need to be with an adult. Hope that helps and enjoy your ride!
Temperatures in the summer here can reach from 30-40 degrees Celsius or god forbid even 50 degrees! So if your thinking of visiting the uae I recommend coming in the winter cause you can get out wayyyyyyyy more than in the brutally hot summer
Super
