പോണ്ടിച്ചേരി യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ പഠിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ അറിയാൻ...
Culture exposure ന് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ കാര്യമായ കുറവ് ഉള്ളതായി തോന്നിയട്ടില്ല. (മലയാളികളുടെ എണ്ണം കൂടുതൽ ആണെങ്കിൽ പോലും) , പിന്നീട് മെസിലെ ഫുഡ് average , below average മാത്രമാണ് ഉള്ളത് (girls mess food is better than boys) , ഹോസ്റ്റൽ മുറികളിൽ 3 sharing ആണ്. (ബ്രോ വീഡിയോയിൽ കാണിച്ച ഹോസ്റ്റൽ പുതിയ ഹോസ്റ്റലുകൾ ആണ് അതിൽ 2 sharing rooms ഉണ്ട്) പക്ഷെ ഇവിടെ ഉള്ള ബാക്കി എല്ലാ hostels ഉം 3 sharing ആണ്. (UG & PG) PHD is 2 sharing.
എല്ലാവർക്കും ഹോസ്റ്റൽ കിട്ടും എന്നത് ശരിയാണ് പക്ഷെ ആദ്യം വരുന്ന കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ആയിരിക്കും rooms കിട്ടാൻ സാധ്യത. കുറച്ച് കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ആദ്യത്തെ സെമസ്റ്ററിൽ hostels ഇലെ dorms ഇൽ നിൽക്കേണ്ടി വന്ന സാഹചര്യം ഈ വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. (99 ശതമാനവും റൂം കിട്ടും)
Hostel room rent എന്നത് boys നും girlsനും ഒരു വർഷത്തിൽ 900 രൂപ ആണ്. (Girls ന് ഈ വർഷം മുതലാണ് പൈസ വന്നത് , മുമ്പ് സൗജന്യമായിരുന്നു.) മെസ് ഫീസ് ഒരു സെമസ്റ്ററിൽ 10-15k വരും. ഹോസ്റ്റൽ റൂം മാത്രമായി കിട്ടില്ല, മെസും എടുക്കണം.
പിന്നെ ക്യാമ്പസ് അത്യാവശ്യം vibrant ആണ്. എപ്പോഴും എന്തെങ്കിലും ഒക്കെ പരിപാടികൾ ഉണ്ടാകും. Academics ന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലേക്ക് വന്നാൽ department നോക്കി മാത്രം വരിക. യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി കണ്ട് വന്നാൽ നിരാശയാകും.
ചില department നല്ല acadmeics തരുന്ന department തന്നെയാണ്. യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയിലെ പല departments നെ കുറിച്ചും മോശം അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
നാട്ടിൽ നിന്നും ഇവിടെ എത്താൻ മലബാർ area ഇൽ ഉള്ളവർക്ക് എല്ലാ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച യും ഞായറാഴ്ചയും direct ട്രെയിൻ ഉണ്ട്. (16856 - മംഗലാപുരം പുതുച്ചേരി എക്സ്പ്രസ്). കോഴിക്കോട്- ഷൊർണ്ണൂർ- പാലക്കാട് വഴി, കോഴിക്കോട് നിന്ന് K swift ബസും daily സർവീസ് ഉണ്ട്.
തെക്കൻ കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ആണെങ്കിൽ പോണ്ടിച്ചേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ ദൂരം സഞ്ചരിച്ചാൽ എത്തുന്ന വില്ലുപുരത്തേക്ക് ട്രയിൻ ഉണ്ട്. (അനന്തപുരി എക്സ്പ്രസ്, കൊല്ലം എക്സ്പ്രസ്) , കൂടാതെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിന്ന് തമിഴ്നാട് RTC യുടെ ബസ് daily സർവീസ് ഉണ്ട്, private bus ഉം ഉണ്ട്.
മധ്യ കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ആണെകിൽ private buses and വില്ലുപ്പുരം ട്രെയിൻസ്‌ ഉണ്ട്.
Campus all over vibe ഉണ്ട് departments നോക്കി വരിക.
അവിടെയുള്ള computer science ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റ് പറ്റി എന്താണ് അഭിപ്രായം

My take: As someone who has spent 1 year in PU (1 year Online aarnu due to Covid), I would say PU is heaven. The place, the people, the culture, and what not. Nostalgia illatha oru day illa. Academically, PU was one of the best Universities of India until 2016 (with NIRF 13 Rank). Pakshe post that, the administration fucked it up. That doesn't mean the University is bad. Certainly it's not the best Uni in terms of Academics, pakshe life ile marakkan patatha 2 varsham aakum ath. Guarantee aan! Pustaka Puzhukalk pattiya University alla!

Guys i will tell you one thing about pondi and central university of tamilnadu
im 2023 passed out in Msc microbiology in pondicherry uni
1. dont apply for this university because in cutoff pdf they will show many seats and stuff but in reality many of the seats are allocated only for madrasis
2. there is high amount of ragging and bullying against northies and also for reservation candidates, if after many complains the university still supports for tamil people
3. waste of infrastructure and there are no proper lab facilites and also many staffs are beginners and they dont have much contacts either
4. even a simple HPLC machine we had to outsource it to chennai labs and the money is also not provided by the UNI
5. There is high amount of state quota which gives more priority to their state than others. many of my friends got around 240+ and still didnt make up to the college and i was lucky enough to get the college and i face many problems that ive listed
PLEASE AVOID THAT UNI AND USE THE APPLICATION MONEY TO SOME OTHER GOOD UNIVERSITIES AROUND INDIA!
