I used to think that pro-Neverwinter was where "it's at" . Game lee7 . The more time I follow your Channel, and what Cryptic and the devs are doing with NEVERWINTER - the more I feel my time is better served elsewhere.
Reso Factor “Pro” anything destroys whatever its attached to. All I hear is “balance” and one after the next the characters get torn apart so that theres zero survivability in upper- mid game content, your damage output keeps on a-droppin’ and honestly it was hard enough the like the game before they changed over all the classes.
@@CastlesLaw1911 I leveled a Fighter (first one) over the past month up to just over 20,000 ITL. Even with those stats I usually fail Epic Dungeon runs.
Cryptic has severely over powered their bosses and mobs (especially in Avernus) and most Endgame Dungeons now seem like they're only do-able if you're paying VIP, and have over 27k ITL, and over 1 Mill HP.
I like the angel of death change. Currently, there are many different runs where I'm usually just a few stacks away from having it ready at a good time (boss fight etc.) The fix to daunting light might make divine balance somewhat useful but I doubt it. The only viable opposed judgement combo is DL/Forgemaster with the feat but even with the added stacking dmg boost from balance, the divinity cost for alternating between them will be prohibitive (better to just use FM alone.) AoD will likely still be better.
I am surprised that they still haven't removed the worst feat in the game (inner balance for Arbiter.) I guess they're leaving it in to troll the poor sap(s) who initially designed/approved it.
They improved the warlock encounter spells that are extremely horrible. And they left the ones that warlocks actually use untouched. Net result ... 0 increase in warlock dps.
Warlock curse need to bust dmg no magnitude. Warlock is a pure trash
Nice Summary vid Silver.I and many others pressed the issue of balance it now on the forum because it they leave classes in limbo for far too long. Whilst I appreciate they did at least do something here I baffled by the choice of skills to adjust.....No worries was referencing Tomm damage statistics as a reference the differences in damage between each class (a single target trial), so why only do 1 minor adjustment to single target? A 35 magnitude increase on Hadar's grasp every 10 to 12 seconds is not exactly going to bridge that gap and make the Hell bringer less excluded from TOMM.Instead they opted to increase just about every AOE trash option which is not what that forum discussion was about or supported by their own statistics.It's something, is it enough to make the Hell bringer a wanted dps class in Tomm .... Hell No!
I believe the only two nerfs the Arcanist path should receive are nerfs dealing with Arcane Enpowerment and Chaos Magic. Arcane Empowerment's damage bonus to encounter powers should only be 5 percent instead of 10. The devs have already cut the proc chance for Chaos Magic in half (I assume to limit the potential number of Quick Action procs, thus limiting AP gain for Arcanist), but should also reduce Quick Action's AP gain to either 15 or 10 percent instead of 20 percent over 5 seconds. It will be tougher to build AP for Arcanist, but I would accept that instead of the across the board nerfs for the paragon currently being proposed. Also, I think the Chaos Magic nerf is to prevent Arcanist from spamming Arcane Empowerment in boss fights through using multiple alliance battle horns and greater black ice enchantments to assist in AP gain.
Also, both Wizard paths need bug fixes (Thaum especially). Also, is there a way to give Wizard more AoE damage so it can compete with classes that have instant damage for their AoE powers?
they want to have only hrs and trs in endgame. they dont want cws for dps, propably in their heads they are still control wizards although they cant control anything since hrs and trs can kill everything too fast to control something.
Rouges and Rangers have higher burst DPS in AoE than Wizards do currently. Burst DPS seems to be king, while more sustained DPS seems to be losing it's purpose. Arcanist is our burst option, but is being heavily punished due to how it preforms in TOMM. I think nerfing Arcanist due to the path being great in TOMM is a mistake because it dosen't represent how the path operates in general gameplay. Generally, you should never use top end content performance as the basis for any nerf because it fails to take into account player skill and differences in builds.
This whole idea of balamce is bull. It could only be valid if you compared two fully geared toons. Otherwise one will naturally outperform the other. How many, or better yet what percentage of players are fully geared? I play CW (that's right Control Wizard), not fully geared yet!!! and every time I make some real progress with dps here comes a nerf. Nerfing should be a last resort not the go-to.

Thank you silver, im newish only char is a hellbringer and with my dps not able to kill mimics in lomm to my surprise was told hellbringers are weakest dps. So glad they are going up a bit in new mod.

Percentage increase on almost all classes that needed the buff. But Hellbringer. Nice. Give me a 5-25 more magnetude buff on my encounters, nice buff. Does fucking nothing. At all. Hellbringer is the same shit.
Small suggestion, go by class and have time stamp and start with global changes.

One issue I think that many Vets and other new players also don't often take into account (or might skip)
is a good game and what it's about... also somehow works into your lifestyle, and other factors.
If they changed predator to only increasing ranged dmg that’s a nerf right now it’s 5% extra dmg
How are the tanks balanced? Im new to this game, but i do want to kick ass ofcourse. Its all a bit confusing for me right know which one is viable and which is not. Some say fighter is really good and others say its super trash now? How does he compare to barbarian is what im most interested in
If you want to kickass go trickster rogue they do the most Single target damage so there just op

Am I the only one here interested in the campaign store Silver showed us? Is that boon category only buyable once or can it be bought repeatedly? If I can grind the heck out of Avernus for all my boons I will be SO happy.
Okay as a dreadnought player, most of the changes are fine, i only use shield throw until momentum is unlocked while lvling, but seriously either give bull charge to barbarians or strip that skill from Minsc, that shit is annoying as hell when he knocks shit off a map. Or return lunging strike to dreadnought fighter, i prefer the later.
Oh and increase the drop rate the baster set in ME's

And yes arcanist do more dps than thaumathurge , one is aoe and one is single, so they should not do the same dps
I want public dungs, and some bad ass big raid world bosses, and delete the adventures from crafting and let us collect things ourself
Yup every Wizard would say class balance seems fine to me, they have been top dog since MOD 16 dropped.

@@svingarm9283 and hinders every other class playing LOMM because everybody wants to be carried by the op single target. Tomm is essentially a trial just for wizards currently that needs to change so that every class are just as efficient. Forgive me for getting your class wrong I assumed you were a wizard because you started comparing the 2 wizard specs post saying .... I think it;s fine as it is. As a rogue you are saying as you is ..... for now anyway :)

GWF were considered the only DPS class since mod 6, or you can't remember CW, SW and HR being only buffers for them? Now that they are the support class, can't stop crying even when they are competitive. Warlocks and Dreadnoughts are the worst classes. GWF was always babysitted by the devs (AoC multiprocs, Prominence enchantment only worked for GWFs, etc) I play GWF but i want to be real, we were kings for 10 mods
I dont think the warlock buff would be enough to take him on top of the other classes. Still bad in my sight. Im warlock and hunter main. Feel like to cry
u forgot that other classes like the wizard was nerfed (again) - you cannot only focus on one class to calculate class balance. and why should the warlock be on top of the other dps classes/pathes?

One, I'm a paladin. With the right build on the class's healer paragon path, you can achieve one of the best bursts of damage you can get in the whole game. After the burst you're pretty average, but the burst is enough to kill most enemies (exept for bosses), so it's fine. Two, I chose paladin when I started playing as my main thinking it has a dps path (like in D&D, where it's a healer/dps class). When I figured out it's a healer/tank in neverwinter, I've already had a lot of character bound stuff I didn't want to lose, so I just built the paladin for dps, which, as I've stated earlier, is totally possible

had a gf that would destroy the numbers then it got nerfed decided to start another toon ,my gwf and boom nerfed that one too..im scared to start another toon so i just gave up
Yes, im about to move from my gwf to HR, but they killed trapper, so i dont know anymore...
They want the balance now because they promised balance mod 16

Blademaster was under performing by a lot and they did nothing to change it. Now Barbarian's are actually going to be Barbies and have to be carried through everything.
At least we can still perform in older content. Maybe 2021 will be the year Barbarians become useful again.
I can't even get a group to allow me in Lomm or Tomm. I have the stats for both. 80k in DPS and 129k combat advantage. I know that my power is really low at 130k, but I should be able to get at minimum in Lomm. No one wants to take my Barbarian through. I have a Wizard who doesn't have 68k in stats and has gone through Lomm

They are wanting all classes to be equal, but yet they aren't going by the countless testing that players are doing and saying.
I'm glad Warlock is finally seeing some love, especially when they nerfed their healing not too long ago.
I'm glad that they are buffing some of the other paragons on the pure DPS classes, thus making build diversity a thing.
They say Barbarian is 1.8% better than assassin rogue in Tomm. But that's not what the community says. But this figure calculated all Tomm activity on the PC for a month. Not just groups that have completed Tomm.
Orange Rocks1986 the warlock isn’t getting any love, those are changes which will do nothing to effectively increase damage. Barbs on the other hand are already competitive with other classes and are even getting more love in mod 18

Where's the proof? Because they're about 20% less damage than Arcanist are doing. Assassin does more than Barbarian.
Assassin is their desired balancing point. That's why so many buffs are coming to DPS classes. Specifically to be brought up to Assassin.
Accordingly to a forum post Arcanist does 3% more damage than Assassin. But Blademaster supposedly does 1.8% more damage than Assassin. These are Tomm numbers for a month and they include everything that was going on in a month, whether completed or not, for PC crowd only.
Yes Warlock is getting a lot of buffs. In some places it's almost double the magnitude.
So please let me know what love is being shown to Barbarian. Because from everything that I have read and seen on videos, no love is being given to Blademaster Barbarians. Yes we'll be able to solo the new area, much like everyone else can. But we're seeing no love and no plans in the future as they're putting in module planned changes to characters in module 18.
I've been pretty disappointed with their decisions the last few mods honestly. I mean the combat did need a change but they way they changed it made it very dul. And they keep promising class balancing and "itllvbe easier to balance with mod 16" yet 18 is gonna come out and half the classes arnt even comparative anymore. They need to stop going back on their word before I come back ful time. The area looks cool atleast..
One thing I can be sure of is all the bugs we report will go live. thats why I no long test on pts and report bugs screwem let them figure it out

Barbarians need a much bigger buff, we’re struggling against any DPS at end game, a half decent DC can destroy us in terms of damage, it’s becoming that bad that we’re not being picked for Tomm unless we tank....

Whatever you do, don't switch to Warlock. It is clear from the long history on this matter, the developers will always make sure Wizards do 20 to 30 percent more DPS than Warlocks. The developers have basically locked this gap in stone.
What do I need to do to do more damage I’m a Guardian fighter please help
1. Refine your bindings to rank 14 (15 if you can afford 650k AD for a coalescent ward).
2. Farm companion gear on Stardock and ME and play with them to reach the mod16 offensive Stat caps and defense at least.
3. Shove a bunch of empowered runestones Rank 9 or 10 in them.
4. Farm MEs and Stardock for good 940-1000 IL gear and get your goddamn Alabaster set (and refine it to Epic at least, ffs).
5. Very very vewy important: GET A AUGMENT companion. If you did all of the previous but have a crab, random elf chick or whatever as your companion you'll still suck. Get a Cat (cheapest augment on Earth), a Deepcrow or a Bulette Pup (best one for dps) and if you can afford. Try to get one at rare or epic quality at least.
6. Fill your offense/defense slots with radiant Enchantments rank 8 or superior.

Let me tell you something. This is the only role playing game I've ever played where it feels like every mod there is class balance issues. It's actually pathetic because it shows that the developers are incapable of balancing their on game.

Why would they nerf the hunter's warden path? Especially the *skirmish gambit* crit stat trade off to 10000(3000) while crit severity down to 25(30), they need to revert that 10k or remove it.smh😡😡😡

Silvery already explained in the video that the rogue assassin damage is considered the template or base level for balance. The classes that outperform the rogue (based on statistics garnished from TOMM) got some nerfs, and those that underperform against the rouge got buffs essentially. There are questions about just how comprehensive or accurate those TOMM statistics are. but I guess to achieve balance you need a benchmark you want all classes to achieve.

Yeah. Assist Mans wizard builds are trash. He doesn't even play the game. His last build he didn't even have half the equipment he said was bis. The top comment on that video has better information than his 45min rant.

I 100 percent agree. All they are doing with that long list for warlocks is improving under performing SPELLS. In other words, they improved the encounter spells that warlocks DON'T use anyway. A central core for warlock dps is 4 steps: apply curse/ remove curse/ apply curse/ remove curse. The remove curse part is Curse Bite (warlocks get 2 charges of Curse Bite for a reason). Where is Curse Bite in the list?? .... It isn't. Warlocks have 1 and only 1 single target blast ... Killing Flames. And it is massively under performing. Where is Killing Flames on this list?? .... It isn't. Lots of empty flapping of jaws and words and zero increase in dps for warlocks. The developers are 10 times worse than politicians!! Words words and more words all designed to ignore the important parts.
