Nothing beats a nice big wine glass of either Merlot or Cabernet or any red Italian wine. Sometimes I take frozen blueberries and fill up one third of the glass with frozen blueberries and then top the other 2/3 of the glass with red wine to chill it.

Several years ago my husband and I considered moving closer to work. Our commute was 60 miles a day total and we spotted homes being built. We picked a lot and a style and all the cosmetic details; however, we had to sell our home first. At the time, the market was not what it currently is and we couldn't close on our home and that meant we couldn't close on the new home being built. It was sad, but years later we realize how well this worked out. We don't have a mortage. We are closer to my MIL now that her husband passed away and we are working from home and so distance is not an issue anymore. When you say things happen for a reason, this is so true. Things work out in the end. :)

Aww Sam I am so incredibly sorry! This is awful! I’m exactly like you and like to put myself in the other persons shoes before I judge but this one is awful… I understand you’ll get your down payment back but I can’t even imagine how many fees you have paid that you won’t get back, the seller should have some responsibility and have to reimburse you if they decide to back out after all this time it’s incredibly frustrating and unfair, never apologise we want to be on this journey with you xx

As a Finnish person watching this, I can’t understand why has buying a house/apartment in the US made so hard? In here we go to a bank, ask for a loan, we look for home that we can afford with that loan and then sign some papers in a bank with the seller. No interviews or lawyers required and there are laws and rules already protecting both parties so there will be no fuss and everything is clear. All the best to you Sam!

When we moved to Colorado I can’t tell you how many houses we bid on…it was so frustrating. At one point I just sat in the floor and said to myself there has GOT to be a house for us. I actually found a house my agent hadn’t shown us. We went to the house and it was my dream house..clearly all the houses that we lost on were because this house was waiting for us. We got the house and I thank my lucky stars that we didn’t get any of the other houses!!! Hang in there!!

I'm so sorry about your apartment. I'm looking to buy a house now too, and it is such a game, you're right. I'm not letting myself get attached to any houses, and my solicitor almost seems worried, cus he's like "why do you want a house you don't love?" and I'm like "I will love it once it's mine". It is so exhausting, but you will get through it, and I hope I will too.
Currently working on getting my first car in college out of state and it feels very similar 😩

There's always a reason. We just don't see it right away. God knows what He's doing. You'll find a better home 😊
Just know that if you include God in all of your life experiences, whatever He has set aside for you, nobody else can touch. Every experience in this world are tools to sharpen our spiritual relationship with God. Patience is always key in understanding that God will ALWAYS give you what it is that He wills for your life. Don't think of it as time wasted, you learned a lot in that time that helped to sharpen you, instead PRAISE GOD!! God bless.

Bless your heart, you don't need to apologize to anybody. It's your life that is being impacted in such a big way that you had nothing to do with. But here is a positive possibility. I read today that they are starting to see a downturn in the market, and by end of summer prices may have dropped 25%. So maybe this just isn't the time to buy, when prices are so high and people snapping up everything. It's what I did once, and then had trouble selling when I needed to move, and prices had gone down. Didn't they pay a deposit that can't be refunded when canceling so late?
