Tech Tip - Convert to Sheet Metal Part

im running sw 2016 and I cant get that sheetmetal tab to appear. when I go into the sheetmetal menu under insert there is no flatten tool either. the only flatten tool is in the surfaces menu

Thanks for watching our video. To activate the sheet metal tab on the command manager you need to right-click on one of the tabs and then you should see the option to turn on sheet metal. From there the flatten tool should appear. The other option is to right-click on the flatten feature within the feature tree and unsuppress/suppress to get the desired result.”
