I"m a Canadian Citizen now but I watched this interview from the beginning to end. I'm away from the Philippines for 21 years now. I feel that Madame Leni is the new Gabriella Silang of the Philippines in her own way. It's about time that Filipinos will vote candidates that who has a heart and clean concience to lead and serve our country Philippines.

Gabriela Silang was a fierce woman who led men into battle, she fought against the Spaniards before ultimately falling to them. The most tragic part was after being captured, she was forced to watch her own men being hanged before being hanged herself by the Spanish.
And this election that has been stressful because of one’s political differences, and supporters who just slanders the opposing candidate and their supporters, is nowhere near as what Gabriela Silang experienced.
I am not speaking on behalf of the candidate that I hoped to win, I just want to tell you of what actually happened during the campaigns, since you’re in Canada right now.

I haven't seen Maria Ressa interviewing a person since literally 2016 during those elections then. I have to say, she's really professional and articulate with people she interviews. I also have to applaud VP Leni, great responses. I really wish she can interview important public figures like this in the future.

If everyone could just listen and really comprehend this interview without initial hate towards Robredo and just a clean heart and love towards the Philippines and its people, it would be a sure swift slide to a hundred percent conviction as to why she SHOULD and MUST be the next President of the Philippines. The country deserves this kind of leader. We badly need her.
edit: I saw someone said on the reply section that it's either you're already fed up by misinformation or you're already aware how Robredo is qualified for the presidency. And I think I see the point. I do realize that this one interview couldn't change a person's decision overnight esp if you're a solid supporter of another candidate and you believe in them like a loyal fanatic, but I still hope it would make them realize things and reconsider.

I voted for Duterte and Cayetano in 2016 because I wanted a Bisaya in Malacañang. My regionalistic views back then did not serve well for the whole country. I am very happy that there is a Leni in this current election. She inspires many to do good and to do well for others. I've been to the Laguna Tanglaw rally, and the energy is amazing and heartfelt. People giving snacks and drinks and paraphernalia to each other. People expressing their support in different ways without being paid. This is the first time I've seen such a grassroots movement that, and I'm proud to say that I have helped and campaigned for this lady. She is the President that the Philippines needs. To fellow Filipinos, sana po wag natin sayangin ang opportunity na ito. Minsan lang may Leni Robredo, na malinis ang pangalan at track record, at totoong may puso para sa bayan, na hindi parte ng isang political dynasty. And of course, as an agriculturist, I support Kiko Pangilinan for VP as his advocacy and track record in agriculture is the kind of leadership we need to address food security and nutrition in the country. This is how successful businesses started. They started from them doing all the work themselves until the business grow then handing over the ground work and now them watching their business grow more from afar.
This means a lot. She always try to learn and know everything before She hands everything to anyone. MicroManagement to MacroManagement. This requires real work but it is very worth it in the long run. Managing a lot of thing is hard. But when you know how each thing works, any problem that will come with it can be handled with breeze. It's like being proactive, but more.

Ganyan naman pilipino masyadong emotional tapos ngayon qualified na maging pangulo. As a VP hindi nga successful dahil hindi sya naging part ng gobyerno sa pagunlad. What an interview..2 of the strongest (and my favorite) women in our present time.. First time also to hear a political candidate who speaks with so much honesty, humility, sense and credibility and who accomplishes things, reaches out to Filipinos, listens to others' views and needs way before she campaigns because it's natural, it's her 'way of life'; definitely someone who acts before making promises. Just finished watching it. I'm trying to organize my thoughts to write succinctly, but I'm bursting at the seams. My words may not be enough to encapsulate everything I heard, but this I must say;
This interview is so empowering in many ways, because this may just be VP Leni Robredo's most vulnerable one yet. This interview has shown us (or at least, me) the kind of strength she has to withstand everything in the past 6 years---the part where she admitted she felt alone really struck a chord. To her credit, Maria Ressa's questions effectively unpacked a lot of things I've been wondering about VP's thoughts about many things.
It was just really a wonder seeing and hearing two people---two very much accomplished women, despite having been (and still being) unjustly treated---speak about things with so much substance, conviction, and sincerity. The only frustration? The people who need to see and hear this will never truly understand.
Yung feeling ko lang talaga after kong manood, I don't know where else to put my overflowing admiration for everything Leni Robredo is.

All I remember from him is his complaint that he won the 2016 vice presidential debate.
Now, this "destiny" stuff his family is saying lacks common sense. What qualification does he have to earn the right as a president?
