This theory is also supported by the fact that the motor stops when the gears make a full rotation and return to the same doomed position Dose anyone know if this is special paint/material that is picked up by these sensors? Will white nail polish do the trick?
So, a big reason why these don’t work is because the sensor above the black wheel at the bottom is an ir reader. Over time, the white paint on top of the wheel fades off and the sensor can no longer accurately read the speed of the motor, causing intermittent shutting down. Hope this helps someone.
I manage to clean all sensors, it works fine, but as soon as I apply some pressure it will stop. Baby only 4 months, not to heavy, don't know if there is any weight sensor. Anyone as the same problem?

Hi Valeria, Sorry for replying that late. In the sensor dirt issue I had, it was working less than a second. Your's seems different but it's worth trying to clean both sensors because of this logic: If it works for 3 seconds, that means there is no problem with motors, cables etc. There remains the sensor dirt. Try cleaning both of the sensors. I hope it will fix your issue as well.
