- In today's video we will show you what to do in Lençóis Maranhenses, where we took the Lagoa Azul tour.
The Blue Lagoon tour is an incredible experience. Despite the name, Lagoa Azul is not a specific lagoon, but rather a circuit that includes several stops for swimming in different lagoons.
The trip to Lagoa Azul always takes place in a 4x4 vehicle, leaving from Barreirinhas. The initial journey by car, on a sand trail, is 12 km long and lasts, on average, 45 minutes to the Folhas Maranhenses National Park. Afterwards, vehicles are parked and visitors continue on foot to see the lagoons for another two kilometers
During the walking tour with the local guide, you will have the opportunity to dive into the crystal clear waters of the lagoons and enjoy the unique landscape of the dunes.
You can take this tour in the morning and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the lagoons. The water is refreshing and the landscape is stunning.
The difficulty level is medium, and the tour lasts about half a day (approximately 4 hours)
Tip: Remember to bring water and snacks, as there are no places to buy food or drinks during the tour.
The Lagoa Azul Circuit tour can be taken in the morning (from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm) or in the afternoon (from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm).
