My 3yo has just discovered the Jabbawockeez and a day doesn't go by that he doesn't request a dance session watching their videos and practicing his moves. During this pandemic there's been so much stress and disconnect...7yrs later this video is inspiring a new generation of dancers. As a hip hop dancer myself, I can't explain the giddiness (I literally squealed lol) that I felt when I watched my kid "pop n lock" for the 1st time after watching a few mins of video with the "white mask dancers." They may not hit hard or do wild stunts, but their simplicity and artistry is on a whole different level from other dancers - that's why they've succeeded far beyond many dance crews, because they don't just dance for the love of dancing, they also perform, entertain, and create art through movement. the audience at this event are b-boys they arnt really into what jabba does, they respect it but its not what they are super into. A straight popping show would have gotten a better reaction at the event like it has done in the past. The music jabba choose also isn't what this crowd is into. I bet if Predatorz Crew (the winners of battle of the year this year) a b-boy crew preformed at World Of Dance they would get a similar reaction.

There are groups with better choreography, more difficult moves, better synchronisation, but what makes Jabbawockeez the best is that they so in tune with the music, nobody hits the beats like they do, at the end of the day, that's what dancing is all about.
