your able to use blue tack if you don't want to use the wax as well and if u don't want it wrinkly just take off the plastic of each corner than put the plastic back on, it will be way flatter.

I usually replace the cover with non stick parchment paper because it is easier to cut

You are supposed to iron it with the painting on the bottom so the canvas is upside down. Just a tip for if you want to do another one

The 5D refers to the facets on the resin or plastic drills (diamonds). I'm a diamond painter myself so i know all the lingo
