This was one the cleanest profiles I have seen in general, very simple and easy to follow with no distractions going on, and super down to earth. I seen a bunch of other Dragon Link profiles, but your’s was different. Rather than just go over the card by card and say why the deck is good, you looked at what the deck’s strengths were and what cards helped pushed them towards their game plan the best, whilst explaining their place in the current meta game and what could be done to counter the popular decks. I usually don’t make comments on these types of videos, but this one was really good to sit down and watch. Keep up the good work man!
Big shout out to me for forgetting Red-Eyes darkness metals name and calling it “One big hot red dude” 😂😂😂 drop some comments on how you play the deck and improvements you would make!
One big hot red dude, dude 😂 bad ass my guy. As a viewer, I think it’d be awesome if in the top corner you had a second camera aimed at your upper body/head.
Max rarity looking amazing! Thanks for the list. Some good follow up content is to do test hands with both decks you have reviewed so far. I and some others I'm sure would love some test hands and lines of play!!
Love the passion you have for the deck man! This was the deck I made when coming back to the game and I totally understand about how you feel about it when you were talking about your Scarlight combo line. Funny enough, when you showed Scarlight in the extra deck I was so excited. It's been my placeholder for Masquerena until that comes in. I've been running Number 38 instead in that 15th spot. It's taking everything not to cut Pisty because I swear it NEVER comes up for me. Love the D.D. Crow in the main too. Great profile!
@@ygokiko2522 trust me sanaphond and then zeus is something they cant overcome anymore and i also play chaos dragon armageddon to get it easier. Its so good for otk or rank 8 xyz with levi u def should try it out
I love playing chaos/dragons deck. I last i played was when pendulum monster came out and almost ran dragon rulers but they get hit so hard i ended up playing disaster dragon instead. Im a returning player but in Duel Master. My friend suggested Dragonlink, and here i am. So far i love the explanations that you gave out for running the cards and glad to know dragon still has some power to this day. I was wondering if anyone can put a decklist and as well as combo moves for this deck, since this meta takes forever to do one combo move(s).
Have you considered playing the fallen albaz engine in D Link, I am just getting back into it and D link was always my go to deck. So considering different builds. Your opinion would be much appreciated.
@@sethviews Protos uses monster attributes while Eschatos uses monster types. You banish 3 monsters with different types in the graveyard. You can destroy 1 monster type to stop both player to summon it.
Great Deck Profile! I always wonder what to side out games 2 and 3 though when it comes to this deck. What is the best choice to side out? I always find the hand traps to be really good for the matchups I face and so don’t want to swap them out but some other stuff needs to be brought in on occasions like the cosmics for mine or imperial order or scythe etc so just wondering what to side out for those etc since I don’t want to compromise engine for the sake of those cards.
I personally like keeping engine cards in and only siding them out if it’s absolutely necessary. Since I played so many handtraps those are easy sideouts. There’s not really a match up where all 12 have a purpose against 1 single matchup and even if they do there are better match up specific cards to side in anyway!
Everything pretty much has a low rarity reprint so possibly around $200 would be my guess. The extra deck is probably the most expensive but there are plenty of budget alternatives!! This is definitely one of the cheaper meta decks right now
Splendid deck profile! I wonder what your reasoning is regarding a 2nd Quadborrel. I'm a returning Dragon Link player, but the last time I played it was when Elpy was still legal. I'm curious what Quadborrel's role in the deck is (since Dillingerous isn't played alongside him).
Quad is one of the best cards in the entire extra deck! Having quad access let’s you go for Savage/Hot red plays after you get Nib’d (whether or not you had seal already on board), it’s disgusting going second against any deck that leaves Links on board and basically becomes a soul charge for 2+ Rokket monsters and it being a Link 2 matters a lot when you need that extra negate for Savage. A lot of players will try to hold Nib until they see Quad if possible because it cuts off a strong follow up play
How do you feel about gozen and rivalry? I play nearly the same exact deck swapping the crows and veilers for those two traps and I have seen it destroy almost every deck
Also I play borrelsword in place of Accesscode and dillingerous dragon to help make him, I think pisty may as well be a flex spot with how infrequently I run into making him. Another idea is rokket caliber, definitely amazing card to add to hand off the abso ravine pitch. Destrudo being back gives us some halq plays as well. Dragons have a bright future
That’s something I’m willing to test, I might take an updated dragon link deck to a tournament this week where I test out new new cards for the new format
I feel you on the protos, although it's not a great solution I've sided gameciel on the deck cause it's the weakest kaiju to beat over for protos in swordsoul, just to get rid of it.
As long as Protos is around that’s the only justification there is for maining Lancea imo, so right now I would say go for it. After that I would say keep it in the main. Not sure if you’re maining/playing Gamma package but that would make it even more insane

Striker dragon is a mandatory card in every dragon link deck. It searches our broken field spell, it’s a link 1 with great arrows for when you need to make Pisty plays, it’s an extender, and it’s a 1 card Savage. There’s a reason that Konami unfortunately put it to 1 lol #FreeMyBoy
Hey bro, new subscriber here! Keep up the good content! Love watching dragonlink. By the way.. I built a similar deck but I don't own the dragonmaid package, nibiru and gamma. What would you suggest to use instead?
Thanks bro appreciate the sub! It sort of depends on your locals, but I would replace those cards with different handtraps and/or other extenders. Ash blossom, D.D. Crow, Veilers for handtraps, as for extenders you could play 3 world legacy guardragon and monster reborn! Forbidden chalices and lanceas are nice too!
Dude I feel you on Protos, I lost to SS for my final match at locals 2 weeks ago bc he just Protos game 1 and I felt devastated and I had 2 droplets in hand to deal with his board if I had the chance to play. Might just have to main Lancea to stop that from happening again this weekened. Also have you tried to play brotaur? Against DPE it can work wonders getting a free body and search. Nice vid overall 👍
I main decked Lancea at a box tournament yesterday and never lost to a single Swordsoul player when I saw the card. I play Gamma too and I even resolved the combo with both of them lol and After this banlist drops I think brotaur might be the move again depending on what gets hit 👍🏼
I tried it out, but it was honestly trash. I felt that siding the 1 of handtraps that actually do something against this deck is just bad deck building and I’d rather have actual consistency cards/high impact cards in games 2-3 than wasting 2 or more spots on do nothing cards
@@ygokiko2522 I see that for sure. You definitely need the 3rd to justify playing the gamma package, as a replacement I would say 3 other handtraps that fit your locals!
My suggestions. Test out sanaphond it’s solid, and summon limit this format is crazy. Dragons can abuse it heavy after you combo.
Summon limit also helps beat Dark Ruler and droplets since you can just chain it, then Hot Rod negate
