"As Thousands Cheer" the biography of Irving Berlin, is one of the best books I've ever read in my life. Buy it!

Both ladies voices are so similar what a great tribute. Cole porter said. "Irving Berlin didnt just write American song he IS American song."

Irving Berlin was one of the most important songwriters in American Music!!
I thank you for this tribute!!
I couldn't help noticing that these girl singers couldn't be bothered to learn simple lyrics to these wonderful (and well known) songs...... Piano player also has to read music in order to accompany them. What's up with that?
I guess it's a sign of laziness or short attention span. To me it's lack of talent.
Remember the time when performers had to learn the whole musical or even several scores by heart?..........

Odessa, Poland--- YES, in 1888, Poland did not exist as a country but was part of the Russian Empire... But it still strikes as a stretch when most of us would say Odessa, Ukraine or Odessa, Crimea.

At 30:00 his first lyrics shows how weak Berlin start it. "Marie from Sunny Italy" Maria for italian women, there is no Marie(french) in Italy whatsoever. To everyone, don´t lose your hope, if you insist you will make it. Irving Berlin and Harry Warren were the best ever.
