By definition, it has to fit in with canon and cannot contradict said canon. The creator didnt say that dipper is trans a fan did . If he was trans 1st disney would not allow it since in the show it shows mabel soos and stan traphobic repeatly questioning his masculianity because he was a "wimp". Also the whole thing that brought the whole trangender dipper head cannon is that mable and dipper are twins and its "rare " to be diffrent genders and be twins which it isnt. Ignoring all that Dipper and Mabels Relationship is based on Alex’s real life relationship with his twin Sister, Ariel Hirsch unless one of them is Trans this headcanon falls flat on it’s face. I have absolutely nothing against trans people i just wanted to point this out so there isnt more conflict and also if u want to belive dipper is trans go on ahead since its an AU and there nothin wrong with it.
Dipper had the best reason to fall, ngl everytime he turned around people treated him like shit, the only person ironically that didn't was Pacifica, Wendy doesn't count.

I love their (dipper and bill) dynamic but not as a ship. Some people may day it's their au, but it is toxic if you consider the fact that bill manipulated and tried to kill dipper. This ship wouldn't work in any way.

the shapeshifter was basically saying dipper would die from being turned into wood, as in the actual episode, the shapeshifter is being (frozen?) and does the same scream as dipper does in the episode where he was turned into wood.

I believe a while ago Alex hirsch had said that he was originally going to make Dipper Pines transgender, female to male, but Disney denied it since it was not really as widely accepted at the time of its creation, and also just the fact that Disney didn’t have any shows with anything LGBTQ+.
