Soo... Spider mines yes. According to Starcraft lore they react to vibrations in the ground so they're not detectors per say but even tho invisible, dt's do still walk on ground causing ground vibrations and so mines will attack. All workers float and so do vultures and for example archons. Apparently high templar do not float tho even when it sure does look like they do. Also I find it weird that mines do not attack neutral critters since they sure do cause vibrations but I guess we don't have to over think this thing.
The most useless thing in a Starcraft game is watching a protoss building warp in because at least with a Terran supply depot building. With that at least you can see the SCV pathing which according to Artosis is random every time. Not sure if he was joking about that lol.
Useless things to watch in a SC game : Watching a Hight Templar walking in and out the fog of war and try to click on him and you cant. A command center being severely damaged before infestation Watch pluses upgrades . Upgrades in Warcraft are not that slow. Watching the number of scarabs of each reaver. Looking for the red dot when a nuclear lunch is detected (mainly in single player mode).
Absolutely! The EMP/recall interaction is so bullshit. The EMP hit 2 seconds before the recalled happened, but because of animation time it still goes through. That's just BS!
There's also the consideration of the nature of the detection vibration on the ground hovering bikes don't set them off either just ground units that walk
As to your ruminations about the spider mines detecting cloaked units. They're essentially land mines. Land mines explode when you step on them. Dark Templars are cloaked but there's still an amount of mass there; walking on the ground. They're going to trip a land/spider mine if they walk too close to it. As for it not providing detection? It's just a land mine. A Science Vessel or an Observer on the other hand I imagine (for lore purposes) has some sort of an advanced sensor scan it puts out to detect cloaked units (like in Star Trek). That's my dumb guess anyway.
@@andrewxyzahimm7477 a little. But it's really just the "spider legs" that extend out from the actual mine that detect any weight stomping on top of them (this is the lore). They have a bit of vision, but they don't detect the way an Observer does for example.

Great game! Bisu's attack was so fierce and swift. It's always so enjoyable to watch Bisu's game for over a decade. What a Kong Fu fighter.

Apparently terran buildings have 1 armor by default because dragoon was doing 19 dmg/shot.
