I miss this game so much. I know it’s still online and there are private severs, but it’s just not the same. Some of my bedtime gaming memories came from this.
Currently playing on a private server (Eden) and it is true. Not the same at all. No one plays it to hang out and enjoy the ride. It's rush to end game at the most optimized pace. Idk about you, but I had fun in this game pre 75. Getting there was always the best part about the journey (And the people you meet along the way). These days, no one cares about that stuff anymore.
I miss it too. Gamers have changed. It’s all about rushing to endgame, using META gear, and avoiding any and all social interaction. It’s about super fast combat, instant teleport spells, and hello-kitty level mob difficulty, which alleviates any need for player cooperation. It’s a sad time to be an MMO gamer.
I came here to get away from the schedule and relax my character on the beach. Aside from story missions, hardly anyone came. I loved it here though. I stayed all the time if I wasn't doing anything pressing like sky or sea, dynamis or whatever. Just chilling on the beach. Got the swimsuit too.
@@paddyotterness lots of story/pop item mobs on that island, and it was a cool lv zone when everthing else easy was taken, i dont think it was underutilized..peopel just didnt like the Boat ride to get there is all, manacliper was a 10 or 15 min wait i i remember correctly.........but ffxi was always about the Adventure and journey......me and my linkshell went to this island and used "shrimp lantern" item to spawn boss for whm version of halberk back in 2005ish
I remember coming here, after I obtained the final piece of crafted HQ gear of a set I really liked for my Paladin and I wanted this beautiful scenery to be the background for some memento screenshots. I was spamming Prt Scr and emotes forever, before I realized the sun had already set and my shots were getting too dark/orange to really show off the gear. •́⩊•̀ ᴴᵃʰᵃ I wanted to "Augment" that set so bad, but Squeenix didn't know the meaning of "Augment" and I never dared risking to ruin the set with _negative_ stats.
I remember when this game first came out, there was a Live video just going around different zones of this game and we could hear the music and ambiance sounds. I have been looking for it but no success. Anyone knows what I am talking about? And does a link still exist?
true i don t remember how i ended up taking the boat / ferry, for some reason i expetect those bernacle that hide in they shell to drop some item of value, but loved the area. then again i choose windurst as starting city and love kazham too

The PVP game in this area was always a fun LS event when people did it.
never played the game, started studying while listening to ffxi music, super comfy, cant get enough of them now :)
