Can't live with them, can't live without them, probably because they'd figure out how to weaponize living without them."

I'm former Armored Cav, M1Abrams Tanker. Everything on the tank would horrify them. Not to mention my personal weapon then, 1911 .45ACP. We had jacketed ball rounds, now you can get 230grain Jacketed Hollow Points that punch a hole you can throw a softball through. So yeah.....

My husband was a former Armoured Cavalry Tankie. A tank commander on Chieftains, many, many moons ago. The longest kill shot, using the next generation of tanks, The Challenger, was made by someone in his regiment. In the Kuwait/Iraq conflict the tanks all lined up and fired broadsides on the move. Yep, he would agree tanks are horrifying. He said the Abrahams were excellent tanks, very high tech. Mind you on a cold night, when on exercise, he would turn the gun barrel until it was over the engine sling a hammock over the barrel and get all warm and toasty. I wonder what these aliens would have made of a tank?

I'm upvoting, right now. Whatever problems the story may have, that line will make up for it, and then some.

Another atypical success ... despite the plethora of other content out there that feels like generative AI drivel, this particular installment actually sorta works, and actually manages to be insightful and amusing. Props for that.
However, I also couldnt help feeling the professor was just a mashup of a George Carlton routine with Doctor Proton or TheScienceGuy.
So ... mixed impressions, but successful. I'll give it a B.
