Wow what a wonderful collection to go out on. Steve -Island shrimp, put in a lot of great work into the hobby. I'm glad steve hosted and I was able to make it to his Florida shrimpers barbecue. Nice dedication Tgoe.
Mark's shrimp, Grant has been one of the few breeders I buy from whenever I can. You won't be disappointed and he's a good guy too! I'm always asking him questions 😂
I got here by way of Ryan from Wild Fish Tanks. You did a great job telling the story of these shrimp. I'm very much a beginner with shrimp myself. I currently have some wild type Neocaradina, a decent sized colony of bloody Mary, and a starter group of Malawa shrimp. I'd like to try my hand at Caradina shrimp, but I need to be able to afford an RO system first. Finally from my own experience buying and selling things, it's sometimes more about how much the buyer appreciates and understands what they've getting, rather than being purely about the money.
Wow Grant you got a hoard of shrimp from Steve! Sad to see Steve leave the hobby but so happy someone I know actually managed to get them! I'll need keeping an eye on those pintos and boas bc I'd love some once I have my racks going! It's a beautiful thing you did and I hope one day Steve gets back into it. I'm bummed out bc I missed the first shrimper's bbq since I was living in Pensacola at the time but that is an awesome poster. Thanks for sharing this moment with your viewers
Awesome looking shrimp and so much moss! I love that you guys in the shrimp community stay pretty tight, that poster is something I’m sure you’ll cherish for a long time
I request you buy an air horn and scare Shelby one morning when I drop her off. You will need to hide your car at aldis or something give it a week or two before you do it so she let's her guard down.
Must be a lot of work tracking all the genetics and history of those strains but I imagine it will be valuable information to have for the future. Sorry commenting on older videos, basically I just started getting into dwarf shrimp.
I can remember just about where we got just about every line of shrimp in the house all by memory. I don't have it written down anywhere I really got to do a video on it.
So nice to see so many shrimps. Thanks for the video. What are those short plants in the galaxy pinto tank? They provide a great sense of scale against the shrimp
Hey Grant, What kind of lights are you using on your tanks? And what are the hours you're running on those? I'm not sure if you have a video on this I looked but I didn't see one
We use a lot of aquaneat or beamworks leds. I just buy the cheapest full spectrum leds and normally it's those two brands. We run our lights for 8 hours on most our racks.
@@joeljennings8621 yes. You could also use strait ro water to bring the tank down with less % water changes but every other day till you get the level you want just go slowly. No more than 5 to 10 tds drop per water change.
Great Shrimp, what a deal, thanks for sharing. 👍🦐
Thanks for watching!

I need to lower the tds in my tank. How are you going to do it in your tanks
I keep most of my tanks at 150 to 160 tds. So I'm just going to do 10% water changes with 100 tds water till its down to 110
@@thegardenofeder weekly water changes?

Brightwell
