This general guy's family is gonna hate his guts when they find out that his duty involves tearing other families apart and throwing them into slavery while also profiting from it. The disgust they're gonna feel when they know that they prospered on others suffering.
They did point out that there is only ever one chief general and it's appointed by the council and can't be refused. I know 'just following orders' isn't a great excuse but when you litterally can't refute your new role, that puts some grey into the issue. And also torlak does have a conscious, he was doubtful of the council even before the invasion.
The voice of the ai sounds like im listening to a documentary or a case file show so hesring it describe an amusement park and i sweet family outing was so funny to me
No fuck this guy. I don’t care if he loves his family, and questioned the orders in his head. At the end of the day he kept his complaints to himself and went about slaughtering and enslaving innocent people.
Don't know if it's weird to feel this way, but kind of...disappointed that the descriptions of alien life are so nearly identical to human life. I kind of expected something more alien. Not a rehash of western suburban life. The story is still okay, but yeah.
Depending on how cheap power is for a space fairing race. The water can be condensed from the air and the sewage incinerated. We have both technologies now just expensive from the power needed
@@kennethoneill4176 - Very true, but have you been around an incinerating toilet? 🚽 🤣 Someone uses the restroom and if you are outside you definitely smell it, LOL!
The basic floor plan looks almost the same as in one of the missions in Payday 2 (Last day of the heist called "Big Oil".) except that the roof is different and the yard is somewhat different as well. If i remember right the house in Payday is based on a real house in Norway or Sweden.
"do you know how daddy afforded our day out? He sold people... lots and lots of them! Some were about your age too."
I really hope Torlac is going to pull an Arbiter.
Great story! I love the "Star Wars" amusement ride! LOL!!!
Smuggler ship escaping a great worm in an astroid, yep. 😂

Hopefully or they are just as bad. Even war criminals have families.

I guess they will get caught while having their fun time XD.

Good story, but the house visual is impractical, there’s no way to provide sewer or water to a house built on rock. (Ducking 🤣)

Have you never heard of "Rock drills"... They're used in the mining industry 😮😮
@@rayairey5770 - Is that common to use a million dollar drill to install plumbing? 🪠😂

Most dramatic reading of the most boring chapter.
