- Hey All, In this video we head out from Miami, FL to Soddy Daisy, Tennesse to look at a private collection that was possibly for sale. We ended up striking a deal for the entire collection.

Since I sold my 1979 Ranger in 93, 29 years later I still wish I had Ole Thumper back. 11in lift kit 11 shocks 429 motor shift kit in trans 2800 stall speed 40 groundhogs, button tucked interior, 429 30 over, 456 gears, dual roll bar etc, Short bed color jet black. I've driven quite a lot of vehicles but I never felt as proud as I did while I was driving Ole Thumper. P.S. in 1994 I was thrown from a truck on I 95 over a 100 ft and since then getting another 78 79 hasnt been in the cards for me but I keep dreaming! Thanks for the revival show, great job!
that would be a bad ass truck but having a high stall torque converter in a truck is kinda pointless! all the big block’s low end torque isn’t making it to the ground its just being converted into heat. I have a 1994 f-150 4x4 5.0 5 speed and i shift below 2500 and i get 20mpg and it has plenty of power up top as i have a bigger cam, intake and aluminum heads. it makes about 400 hp/tor and i can still get pretty good mpg’s down low. they high stall converters are only really good for 1 thing thats drag racing!

That is awesome! Super happy for you! I got ahold of a 70 power wagon single cab with a 383 big block I am churchin up a bit and going to sell or trade in hopes of a decent 70-75 crew cab. The stuff dreams are made of.

This takes me back to my Dads 1980 FlareSide, I was 12 years when I replaced the Fuel Pump, I have been mechanically inclined since. Worked in Aerospace, Military Contracts... now with Warranties I let the Dealerships take of the car... that's not to say don't help relatives when I'm available 🌳👦🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁

Watching Dylan McCool. Seen you on there. Thought I was the only one interested in the old Ford trucks. I have a 72 Ford F-250 Explorer,Camper special. It's been in the family it's whole life. Can't blame you for buying the whole hoard! I would of done the same thing if I had a place to put them. Parts used to be everywhere and reasonable not anymore. It used to be fun to go around to the bone yards and get stuff. That's drying up too.

I can't believe you bought them all! lol Nicely done! No solid and rust-free 68 Cougar in there, is there? I recently scored two 427FE SIde Oilers, and I'm now looking for a 68 Cougar to put one in and do a Pro Street build. They're 68 blocks, so I'm really only looking for a 68, but a 67 or 69 could do for the right deal. I'm also interested in a solid rust-free driver dentside driver door, preferably in medium blue, and a solid and rust-free 78-79 Bronco Tailgate with the glass. :D I can drive down from Orlando and pick it all up if you have any of it. Plus, then my daughter and I can make a stop at the Coral Castle. I think that blue oddball supercab with the rear sliders on the cab is the coolest. Was that factory?

Ok......with that many trucks Solomon you need to build a six door crew cab diesel powered truck I wanna see that build, either a bump side or a dent side truck doesn’t matter to me you’re choice, could even do a 4x4 one.
you know i want a 6 door truck but in reality its a bit unpractical. I have such a long list of projects already that I cant add that too 😂
@@FordEra yeah it would be cool to build one with all those trucks you have now. I was thinking use a dent side one...... build a six door one but add the super cab on the back end for just a little bit more room and either a 4x4 or two wheel drive
