So in the English version of the intro bony spirits are rock, fleshy souls are rap. And psychic specters is techno.

I feel that the English opening is the best of all the other games' English openings. Too bad they left a lot of the Japanese opening cutscenes cut out.

The two intros are literally night and day, but I like them both equally. I'm impressed that Level 5 can still find ways to remix the Swampy Marsh mix, though I'd probably say the Bony Spirits mix is still stuck in my head. XD But again, I don't want to say one is better than the other. They're both great to me. :)

I know people are sick of the swampy marsh song, but there could be legal reasons that they can't use the Japanese versions. I'm guessing it's because Level 5 doesn't own the songs, they're owned by the people who wrote them, and it could be costly to use them, or the writers won't give the rights to the dub team and Level 5.

Yeah, but when Blasters was released, they were able to use the King Cream Soda version! Maybe it’s just certain songs or maybe the dubbing team has a better relationship with Level 5 in Japan!

Finally, someone with positive thinking. This song is definitely copyright-free. I don't know about this version, but the original is definitely. So, everyone can use it, can do a cover and make money.
The Yo-kai franchise can't end yet for global.
And i thought the opening they used for Japanese version was only in the japanese anime. i love this opening
While the remix was good and kinda catchy... I have to side with the original Japanese opening for the game. I was introduced to Yokai Watch through a video on TH-cam back when it was just in Japan and I fell in love with the series thanks to that video. I studied up on all the different Yokai in Japanese folklore and even the Kami when I learned that two kami were in it-Izanami and Enma Daiou-and the songs by the band for the openings were so catchy! But...*sighs* Dang it, my native language, why'd you go and change almost all the names to these weird ones and even insult some Yokai like the Kappa with renaming them into Faux Kappa?

I got in to Yokai Watch before I saw the dubbed version. So I love all the versions of Gera Gera Po with a passion

both theme songs are used in the anime. gerappo dance train is used in the japanese version from episode 63 to episode 76.

i believe the reason the English version of everything yo-kai watch stopped using gera gera was because they faced legal problems
Nothing beats good ol' Gera Po...
Sooo..the japanese Intro song does fit to the shown footage very well and creates a very good intro which makes you hyped for the game youre about to play, BUT I like the other Intro more because its a more modern and technical style of music (which hits my taste of music) and it matches up with the intros of Bony Spirits having a more Rock-like intro and Fleshy Souls having a more Rap-like intro. So in the end i like the english version more.

Sorry had to make another comment to explain more. So it's not just me that misses Gera Gera po but also other fans miss it as well and to be honest hearing the swampy marsh thing was ok thought they were using it to try and make an English version of the other Gera Gera po but unfortunately they didn't and the swampy marsh thing is really annoying us because it's been on for every other episode
