Me too…Works like a charm. I also perm rod set my hair in the morning and I don’t use a dryer because I’ll let them air dry until the afternoon/evening and by then I’ll have dry, perfect and lasting curls.
I use a combination of both methods - hairdryer with hood attachment to set my roots then air dry. Unfortunately I live in the UK so little chance of sitting out in the sun so try to ensure I wash my hair early. Great video as often thought about the potential for mildew as on occasion hair may not be fully dry before tying it up
I blow dry I normally have to leave the house after washing my hair, I don’t like the feeling of wet hair, my hair gets brittle when I air dry ( loose and locd) and lastly, I live in Minnesota. It was -8 last night! 😂 if I ever quit my job, slow down my life and move to the Barbados .. I will welcome the sun to dry my hair as I frolic about outdoors
I heat dry my locks in the Winter only. I live in Michigan. Otherwise it’s the Summer Sun or indoor fans. Natural drying. Especially if I’m setting them with rollers or Braids. I have Sisterlocks. Since my hair has gotten thicker and longer I don’t wanna take chances with that mildew issue, which I’ve never had to deal with. I don’t have any scalp drying issues.😊❤️
OMG!!! You just gave me an idea for washing at night. I have avoided washing at night because of the amount of time it takes to dry and I hate laying on wet hair. I never considered mildew I just cannot lay on wet locs. But blow drying at night seems so reasonable and doable. Thank you ❤
Thanks for covering this… I was just trying to decide this issue. I air dry mostly but I didn’t know about mildew. So now I’m using the ‘cool’ setting on hand held blow dryer. I like both
Can never go wrong with a good microfiber towel and air drying. All it takes is one good time of mildew smelling locs and seeing lint in your hair from cotton towels to change you 😅😂
When is the best time to oil on wash day? I only put oil in my hair on wash day so I want to make sure I am doing it at the best time. Is it after towel drying?
Can you talk about Flat locs, i can't retwist in the day time so i have to wash late at night and i don't wanna put heat on my locs because I've used bleached.

I do as well, wash in the morning so my hair will be dry by bedtime.
A cotton t-shirt is better than a towel on your locs 👌
Love a sun dry in the summer!!! Feels so good ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I usually do a mix of both. Just depends on the temperature outside and what I have planned for the day! My loctitian usually gives you the option.

I'm in the deep south so in the summer, air-dry, winter is always hood dryer.

I’m a hybrid of both. Your locs are beautiful Keisha!😌
I love a good sun dry. ☀️😊
I got the dryer attachment, it’s like a bag for your head. I’ll air dry when I have time like if I wash early in the day with time outside
I primarily air dry and sun dry in the summer. I’ll use the hood if I wash late in the day/evening which is rare.. which hair dye would you recommend?

I air dry by default and that's because I just don't invest in my hair journey . ¿ What are your thoughts on vanity if any . I would love to know .
Can you talk about Flat locs, i can't retwist in the day time so i have to wash late at night and i don't wanna put heat on my locs because I've used bleached.
Hey Keisha, do you ever tie your locs back in a ponytail with your own locs or a hair tie while they air dry or sun dry? Thanks.
Love your tips!
I do low heat dry... I don't air dry because I don't want mold and I don't like the smell of those who air dry.
I usually air dry my locs, but during the colder months I will use a blow dryer.
10 out of 9, whew
My name is Kisha and my sister name is Shamian like your name is that crazy or what lol

If I twist my own hair I'll go under the dryer, no twisting, I air dry
I air dry.
When I’m doing my own hair, I air dry. When I get it done professionally, heat dry.
