- The Best Beach in La Brea Trinidad is Carat Shed Beach. The Beach got its name from several sheds that were originally roofed with Carat leaves but are now metal roofed and form part of a well-maintained beach facility. La Brea in southwest Trinidad is not often recognized as a beach destination with most individuals simply thinking of La Brea as the home of the Pitch Lake, yet La Brea has several nice beaches with the best of these being Carat Shed Beach.

Yes it would be the closest from Prince Town although Gran Chemin Beach can also be easily reached from Princes Town once you dodge the landslides.
This beach is not....my friends and I almost been attack by two men Monday night. I want a number of the person who is in charge of that facility.
It is unfortunate that you had a bad incident at the beach at night. I do not know who is in charge of the beach but believe the people at the La Brea Police Station would have been able to tell you. If not you can talk to the Siparia Regional Corporation.

Generally it is not. However if there is an oil spill in the vicinity then oil may float onto the beach.
Can I walk to carat shed beach from the junction or is there any taxi going inside
I do not know if there are taxis that use that as a route but that junction has taxis and PH and they will take you if you ask. It is possible to walk but the distance is a little further than most people walk.
at 1.41 in the video is that trinidad itself or venezuela in the distance ?
Most of what you at that point in the video would be the northern coast of Trinidad, Port of Spain, Chaguaramas, Monos, Huevos. I am not sure if any part of Venezuela is visible at that point in the video but if it is it would be the piece on the extreme left.
@@pointboy12 thanks for the information. it just confirms to me that the best view of venezuela from the main land of trinidad is from macqueripe. provided it is a clear day.
