A liiiittle correction would be: they don’t correspond uniquely; the author just used stereo channels (mapped to X and Y coordinates) in such a precise way that it looks that way. I don’t mean you can visualize everything as zooming fractal spirals, of course, and also that should’ve been pretty hard to achieve because you need to think _both_ in terms of (X, Y) graphing _and_ for the sound to be nice and musical. Not every Shepard tone sample would be able to be massaged into neat fractal spirals, nor every spirals like those would be sound musically useful in this context, so he needed to think both together in some way, even if working on the idea was iterative (as it usually is) and simpler to do. So in the end his achievement is even more than just plugging in a Shepard tone _or_ a fractal spiral.

An idea: show the screens of multiple oscilloscopes at once “split-screen style” to have multiple layers of “instruments” for more complex music as well as harmonies in said music.
Update- new idea: give each screen a different color and have them overlap, creating a colored image.
Edit: 69 likes, nice( also this might be a new record for me thanks!)

I don't think you understand/ understood (based on the time since you've commented) the premise of this music. It's based on inputs into an oscilloscope which measures frequencies. This is not hand drawn. This is a computer output from a machine designed to show only one colour.
Sorry if I'm being pedantic, you did comment this 2 years ago.
