My light is running for 7hr in this only 4hr is full intensity & co2 is running for 6hr Pls healp Thanks Kalyan,,
Hi Kalyan. Sorry for the delayed response. Black spot can be due to nutrient deficiency due to improper photosynthetic activity or due to algae. We need to understand a little more. If you can share your no, we can ask our team to call back or you can mail us with some pictures to ripples.sales@gmail.com
Excellent content Gautam da...I used excel for bba ..but looks like it's not safe to use , slowly 2 of my nana melted so now on will use ada phyton gid plus with brush.
Hello Sir, I am having the brown hair algae after 7 to 10 days in a new setup tank. So I need to turn off the co2 and fertilizer and do daily water change??
Brown algae or diatomes to be specific are common during initial stages of the aquarium. Siphon out whatever possible while doing water change. Key is to make bacteria grow so it is very important to always run aeration in the tank after switching off CO2, daily for say 16 hours. Also you need to add a bacteria growth promoter like ADA Green Bacter. No need to do daily water change. First week may be water change after every 2 days, next week say after every 3 days, 3rd week say twice a week. Daily water change never helps the tank to stabilize. Do not turn off CO2, the best way to combat algae is to make plants grow faster and switching off CO2 goes against that
Thank you. ADA definitely is not the only option. If you can please call us @ 9830009691 and explain us your problem specifically then we can try to help you
Dada, loved your various videos …My new aquarium (size 2ftx1ft) has algae & want to add these algae eaters..in Mumbai where can I find psilorhynchus balitora & sucatio & what’s its approximate price..pl respond.
We are not sure where these fishes are available in Mumbai. But then algae eaters, whatever species, they belong to are not sufficient enough to control algae. To an extent algae is bound to be present but then any algal predominance is a sign of imbalance in a tank. We need to identify the root cause of imbalance and take care of that first. If you can call/ message our team at 9830009691 then we can understand your specific problem and guide you better
Thank you so much for responding..iam cycling 20-30%water once in 3-4 days & LED light frequency is reduced to 6-7 hrs a day..lets observe for 10-12 days & then see..mainly it’s brownish black algae on leaves of plants ..will get in touch with your team if issue continues..thanks again
Thank u sir for this informative video. Can you please also guide on the removal of the slimy algae type growth. Its very slippery. Its been also refered as an bacteria too. Regards
Sir mine is a two month old planted tank with saggita, anubias nana, some christmas moss on driftwood , alternanthera renicki, no co2, lighting for 5-6 hrs everyday and 40% water change every week. RO water being used.
Looks like it's Blue Green Algae (BGA). Yes it's not an algae. Its a Cyanobacteria. Looks like your dissolved organic levels in your aquarium water is high. Do large water changes, introduce good beneficial bacteria. In case that does not resolve, give a blackout with lots of aeration
Please suggest how to avoid white fungus or white algae on the planted tank soil. I have Fountain premium soil. I don't have CO2 but have a good filter and light. Also use plant Nutrition weekly.
Hi based on your description identification of the root cause behind this is difficult. We need additional data to give you some idea. Please call us @ 9830009691 and our team will try to help you. And if you are living in or near Kolkata please feel free to drop in our gallery and we can discuss in person :)
Sir, i have lot of red rillie shrimps in my aquarium, all the java moss bulk r now tangled with silk agae and hair algae, what should i do? I m from siliguri, so from where i ll get ADA phytongit, online its not available.
You should never introduce any algae infested plants in your aquarium whatever may be the type of algae. Do some treatment to remove algae before introducing
If hair algae, silk Algae grow in newly planted tank like 3-4week old, specifically on fissidens & ricardia moss then what should I do for controlling ? I already clean everyday and also change water 50% one day gap.after seeing your video I stopped CO2 supply Though I can't control TDS 92-100 Please help

Sorry for this very late response. You have raise many pertinent points. You see singularly neither substrate or fertilizer or lights which gives rise to algae. Many cases it's a combination which is not allowing the tank to be in balance. In this specific case it's decreasing light intensity, more fish load for a small tank and more importantly lack of maintenance which resulted in this state
Do excuse such a late response. For some unknown technical reasons we missed some of the comments and we are very sorry for that. Not sure whether your problem has been resolved or not. But do feel free to call us at 9830009691 and we can try and assist you. Green Water is a known phenomenon and mostly happens when beneficial micro-organism population declines in an aquarium. May be this was the case. But we can discuss and understand further. Sorry again for such a late response
@@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 I solved my problem 3 months back by using uv light.....that for your reply I appreciate it...thanks u....I have another problem....how to manage ph....my ph is 9 ...how to lower ph..I don't have drift wood peetmoss....I read a website that vinegar helps lower ph...I added ...it worked 9 to 6 ph .but next day again it raise to 9....how to maintain ....it..
Sir how to get rid of staghorn algae... Im struggling with stag for a long time...doing regular water change for last 2 weeks...using spot dosing of excel...increased the flow...bt still lots of there in my aquarium
Staghorn algae indicates deteriorating water quality. Check your filter. It should be cleaned every month or once in one and half month. Cut off affected leaves. Be ruthless and remove as much as possible. We are not sure about Excel as we have not used it. But we have seen ADA Phytongit working well over time
Nice video sir, i am also fighting with green algae for so long but still I don’t find any effective solution and i am doing manual cleaning every week can you please help me or teach me right solution for green algae.
Sir there is a wide variety of UV lights available in market for aquarium and pond but I have never seen you recommending or saying anything about it much. Can you make video on Pros and Cons of UV light. 2nd can you make a video specific on different types of lights and things to remember when setting a light. There are different variety of water plants with different colored leafs, red, violet, white with green patches, so do they require any kind of special lights. 3rd when we setup a water filter does, can't we use charcoal instead of bacteria media?? Will charcoal help in preventing algae?? Does it will change the PH??? Pls also make video on that.
1) UV lights are a good addition for fish only tanks. We will surely make a video on this topic 2) Thanks for the suggestion. We will cover this topic as well 3) Charcoal is intended for chemical filtration, useful at the start of the aquarium when NH4 levels are high. It's best to use charcoal for the first 3 weeks. Post which biological with beneficial bacteria is a must
Brown algae are diatomes. They are normal in newly setup tanks. In fact diatomes signals that the biological activity of the tank has started. But if it continues then in all probabilities the reasons can be old lights or lack of proper aeration in tank. Use algae eaters temporarily but do start aerating the tank for at least 16 hours
Dada hi cleaning hands and equipment with sanitizer and using them is not harmful for fish kya? Cause mayur da had said in one of his videos that using sanitizer on hand and putting that hand in aquarium will cause harm to fishes.
How to deal with staghorn algae? Also, it would be very helpful, if the conditions for a specific type of algae are mentioned.. example, brown algae happens in low nitrate, low light, low circulation, high phosphate conditions..
First of all CO2 should only be injected when lights are on and not otherwise. CO2 directly cannot help in reduction of algae. CO2 will aid in improving plant growth, which in turn improve free nutrient uptake from water and there by reduce algae
Algae cannot be solely controlled by shrimps or algae eating fishes only. the overall aquarium needs to be in balance. Even in the best maintained tanks there will be algae coming and the "algae eating crew" is good for controlling such minor incidences
You said phytongit will affect single cellular organisms and is shrimp safe but what about the bacteria in filter media will it kill the bacteria. Since you said you are useing it every week in small doses. You apply sanitizer to tools and hands how does it affect livestock in another aquarium.
Sorry for this extremely delayed response. For some software related reasons we had missed some of the comments.
