I just started my flight lessons at Moorabbin it was so amazing to be able to actually fly a plane. I’m 11 so I’m very young to start flight lessons but it’s something I love have something I have always loved… Amazing job doing your first solo. Idk how you understand the tower 😂🤷♂️
It comes with practice, Sunny. Good luck with your journey - it's an incredible feeling to be able to fly, and I hope you enjoy the process. If you're going to go for your license, I'd definitely recommend reading the textbooks as you go - don't leave this until last as there's lots of information in them that help you understand what you're doing and why you're doing it. Also, if you can, pick up a small AIR radio from Jaycar to tune into the airwaves and just listen in to what they are saying when you're close to the airport. There are also websites that stream it occasionally. That will help a little with the radio calls. Good luck!
It is scary the first time you do it! I think that's normal - if you didn't have butterflies I'd be worried you weren't taking it seriously. Good luck! I hope you went well with your solo.
Thank you! Good luck with your solo. Have confidence, and go over your radio calls. I use the Sony Digital Voice Recorder, and split the sound from the headphone jack with a guitar splitter (something like this HOSA 1/4 inch to Dual 1/4 inch Y Cable). I've also found you need a resistor in the line, and you can purchase one of these from an aviation shop (they're expensive for what they are!!). I then put it all together in a video editing program, dulling down the sound from the GoPro and adding in the recorded audio. Let me know how your solo goes - good luck! :)
@@elliburdan396 Awesome, thank you for getting back to me. I actually have a guitar / line splitter. Great idea, I'll try it during my next few flights. Thank you :) 🙏
SOLO CONGRATULATIONS - Ellie - that Solo smile will never Fade and how faster the aircraft took is amazing!!!!!!!
