Funny, how that works.
The reason for the FV4005's caliber being "182.9 mm" is because the UK still used the Imperial system when the tank was developed. The FV4005's gun size was 7.2 inches in diameter which is equal to 182.88 mm, or 182.9 when you round it up. Hope that explains it, QB, if you're read this :p
That tank hates everyone QB. It hates its user due to its inconsistency, and god forbid when it is consistent, it pours 183mm of hate on its foes, leaving them crippled even if it fails to penetrate.
That tank is plain great. You have to be absolutely mad patient to git gud in it. You really need to sweat it to aim longer.
I miss the good old days when you could kill two tanks with a single HE round. That was so damn satisfying.
Luckily those days will never come back

I use the 183b and like it. It really only seems to shine when it is shooting the gold, and man does it ever
I hit an E 50 M with a HESH-Shell ago some days, when he shot at me, his whole vehicle was showing his front to me, i dont know, where exactly i hit, could been the tiny teddybear-ears or the cupola, but damn, he was so shocked, when he had now only like 200 hp left, was sitting at the same spot like for 6 seconds totally flabbergasted :D
I really miss the old HE, because, there were some situations, where you could pen a frontal invincible behemoth, when you hit the ground under him. Was pretty fun with the KV-2, IS-152, ISU-152 to show them, how weak their bottom armor is, you hit the ground direct under them, the splash penetration was still strong enough to break the bottom armor.
And that these was the most stupid game mechanic know to man. Requires no skill whatsoever - now angling your armour actually means something, being hulldown, having to aim for the weak spots and so on, not just press 3 and shoot somewhere towards an enemy and do 75% of the AP's damage or by shooting a freaking ground instead of the enemy's tank. Glad Wargaming took that noob friendly thing out of the game. And before you say something about sweaty tryhards and op chieftains - we can call it a skill issue. Everyone has a chance to get the 279e for free, everyone has the same chance to get in to a clan and play for the chieftain, or stupidly enough for nowadays, bid for it. Oh, and everyone can play the game to improve in it.
I miss the old HE mechanic where you can earn a bombardier medal in a KV-2 but you can't....
I don't miss them at all :D

@@sakuya1185 Because HE was so unbalanced. You didn't need any knowledge of weak spots, you just load HE and you do 75% of nominal AP damage, but guaranteed, it didn't even mattered if enemy angled their tank well.
@@stivenstivensson4542 Ah, but isn't penetrating a soft hull roof by splashing the turret with HE exploiting knowledge of a weak spot?
@@StarkRaven59 Exactly! It also means that if your opponent shoots HE at you, you have a chance to do more (by catching him with standard ammo) or a better spot to HE.
I never played high tiers, but I feel like this tank (and the 183b) performs better when you play Imperial March in the background, just like how Jingles would do with the Jageru
I do miss the old arty days. One shoting heavy tanks and getting cussed out by the guy you smoked in battle. Ah, the memories.

My personal highlight was one shots by ammo rack at 279(e) with AP and a 60 TP in the same way. But not with FV4005 II... It was with FV215b (183)
Good game. Now your next nine games will suck. My best shot ever with the 4005, was “Deleting” a full health, EBR, 105 on the move. Best feeling ever. 🤘😎
Still one of my absolute favourite tanks to play on console in cold war. With true vision and the advanced zoom module you can just wreck people's days picking them off even when they think they are unspotted and think they are safe..... I make loads of silver even firing straight HESH rounds.
Still a fun tank to play even in WW2, but nothing beats getting the hate mail after using your eyes to spot a light tank hiding still in a bush or behind some trees and One-Shotting them back to the garage from half way across the map 😂
It must be nice to play against players that wait for you to reload.
I love the reaction when a soft tank comes into the sights of my FV just waiting for them, you can imagine the victim sat going through the emotions of their imminent obliteration lol , surprise m....rf....r lol
Everybody talks about 8000 credits per shot for possibly 1750 dmg but nobody mentions the t92 light with 5600 credits per shot for 150 dmg.

Also love watching mailand in the FV, he really has a fun playstyle with the tank. Also does many HESH blindshots with little care for the cost xD
The ammo cost makes this a luxury td I use rarely lol
@@andythoms8130 it's a pure no-f2p gold spam vehicle. But you can lay some really funny 1-shot ambush back-to-garage surprises for overconfident people. It's actually good this way because you would have like 3 or 4 of them in any match and be a camp fest if it were making easy credits.

Bond vents, bounty rotation device, bounty aiming device, vent purge, all field mods, and decent crew gives this thing great gun handling and accuracy.
This is literaly the most fun tier 10 tank to play. It works rarely but when it does it is all worth the 5 or 6 games that you cant do much at all. Then again just 2 penetrating shots can land you top of your team.
On console we have the cent arv with a massive gun at tier 10 so i jist run round with a spall liner and perks and watch them just do 400 damage they soon change targets
you can get the experimental turbo thingy here, and get the benefits of turbo and a bit of accuracy as well
idk, he's super goofy about using turbo and vents on almost everything

They don't call it a quarter pounder with cheese? Nah man, they got they got the metric system they wouldn't even know wtf a quarter pounder is. Your .1mm that is shaved off is because the gun is the 7.2inch gun commonly used by UK for arty rounds.
I love the 4005 in spite of all of its flaws. I tried to make it as accurate as possible with all the upgrades and I have to say its always fun to hit a tank. It functions well in a support role if you can stay out of sight

Quickybaby, if you are interested in the faster paced, high dpm kind of gameplay; I would suggest you give WoT modern armour on console another look. Not necessarily for a video, unless you like the content for it, but just to see how it has changed from the earlier rendition of the Cold War gameplay. Cheers.

182.88 mm = 7.2 inch, which would be something like a 55 pounder, thereabouts.
i used to love spamming AP with my T92 back in the day and sending tier 10 heavy tanks to the garage from full life, then the nerf came, i guess i had it coming.

0:40 that is because the gun is actuality is a knockoff/copycat of the BL 7.2 inch gun (like u see in the FV 3805 pig in WOT) and guess what 7.2 inch is in mm? Yup, 182.9mm

90% of my battles in 4005 are 5-15 defeats with 0 dmg ☹

I find this hard to believe, the FV has been nerfed incredibly, ridiculously hard. It has no camo, no armour and a strictly average speed. Reverse speed has been ruined so much that there's no fucking way you can avoid damage. Hesh is being treated incredibly stupid like HE. I hit 6 timess with Hesh, you'd think at least 6000 dmg. Nope, 2300.

So HESH which in real life generates its effects by not penetrating (the external deformed HE generating internal spalling), has a "penetration" value in WoT? More make stuff up at work here.

I hate that tank. It blows. Big as a barn and can’t even hit a barn.
I find it so funny he cares about money in this game..lol I don't care what anything costs, so not sure why he is always acting like it matters. i seem to make profits even using all the top ammo on every tank in the game.
you complain about the tank but you have basically the worst possible loadout for the gun to work. Improved aiming, IRM, and then gun laying drive will work out best for hitting shots
what i hate is these teams of people you get constantly stuck with that rush to die...6 or 7 dead in 2 mins and less..all on one side..i dont know if its STILL GODS AWFUL MM or what..but tier 8 and up soooooooooooo many people cant be bothered to learn the game..i have had to reduce my playing time drastically because i cannot stand the constant losing matches
