@@clairmontgaming Arachnids are classed as insects, so yeah, they're buggos Edit: They are referred as bugs because they tick most of the boxes for the criteria, but since they lack chewing mouthparts in most cases, they aren't scientifically classed as insects. Most ppl just refer to them as insects because they are more insectlike than any other animal and because they have the same criteria minus a few exceptions that somehow class them differently. Personally, I think they should be classed as insects because of how closely related they are to centipedes and other creatures like this, but I guess insectologists were just like "nah, I'm not touching that" and just abandoned them. Poor Webby Bois...

If that is the case, then no, arachnids are neither. I'm not entirely sure as to whether both terms were coined to accommodate every insectoid creature and then later became two classifications or they were both coined specifically to become classifications themselves. Sorry for making this complicated and long lol, I aspire to be a biologist someday and i love to explore stuff like this. You learn something new everyday. Tucked myself up in a warm blanket to listen to this after a really really bad day and it made me smile.
