He's not nearly as good obviously, but watching Jaylen does remind me a lot of Jordan. The athleticism, midrange, mentality, 1-on-1 defense, and relentless attacking when he goes to the rim are beautiful to watch. If he can take better care of the ball, sky's the limit for him.

@@Dylanbolduc yep...and one wasn't even 3rd team or an all star eventho he was more than deserving of both. see the problem??? tatum didn't need to be on 1st team all nba just as much as jaylen needed to be an all star. ive watched both players entire careers...every game. jaylen is far more consistent and is the better defender....the media narrative is why it is the way it is. duke...vs cal. im thrilled that we have both...but this story of jayson tatum this and tatum that went far enough...the finals was the last straw for me. you can not be " 1st team all nba" and have a terrible series and then cap it off with 13 pts on your home court in a must win situation with a pt total of 2...in the entire 2nd half...while the other superstar has 34 and is fighting his ass off for the team. again i love the entire team and both js...so me agreeing that jaylen is better isnt a knock on tatum...for me it is jaylen being an elite defender where tatum just this season got much better on D but isnt elite on ball like jaylen....and jaylen is more consistent and efficient on offense throughout the year. people point to the once in a blue moon 45 or 50 pt game from tatum...like 46 in game 6 vs bucks...but leave out the 4 of 19 game 3 vs the bucks when we lost 103 101 almost as if only 1 of the 2 happened. jaylen has bad shooting games as well...just like every other player im the nba...but tatum often goes invisible for games through the season more often than jaylen....340.more shots on the year but only just under 4ppg more shows the difference in efficiency. and this doesn't even show that jb is also the better athlete and finisher at the rim. ✌️

He was drafted #3 so the guy did not have a limited offense, put in any subpar team he would have average 20 points or more and would have been allowed to make mistake. Jaylen was put in an impossible position his rookie year, first coming to a team stacked with good veteran players, having a coach that does not like playing young players, having a fan base that hated him, and finally being around players that took a joy bullying the poor guy. Over the years Stevens did everything possible to break him, from cutting his minutes, by putting him in the corner for long periods of time and so on....

I don't understand the people that said Brown came into this league limited. That is flat out false. He came on a team that already made it deep in the playoffs and had their set roster with minor tweaks. He had to earn his spot. He had 1 bad year in college and his fate was decided when the anonymous GM said he doesn't fit the stereotypical ball player. He came into the league and never shot below league average from the field or the 3. He got his shot year 2. And in the 2018 playoff run was averaging 24 ppg 2 30 point games (the youngest player in celtics history to do that)against the bucks before going down in game 7 scoring 2 points in the game which dropped his average. Averaged 18 on a bad hammy against the 76ers. And went toe to toe with LeBron the 1st 2 games of the ECF scoring 23 in both. While guarding LeBron and Kevin love with the 3-5 pick and roll the cavs were running. Also had a 25 point game and a 27 point game in game 6 to close out the cavs and no one else beside Terry rozier showed up. And all because Tatum showed up for 1 game and dunked on LeBron the media and blinded fans said he carried them to the ECF( another false narrative) then Brad and the staff told Brown to take a step back the following season so they could market Tatum(watch his ALL THE SMOKE INTERVIEW) and tried to turn him into a 3&D player which he never was. The dude never got his fair shake and still doesn't get his just due. I'm hoping he lands on his own team so he can showcase all his talents because it's being stunted and overshadowed in Boston. He should of won the ECF MVP but of course they had to give it to the golden boy. And even with Tatum having 100 t/o Brown is still being flamed for having a t/o issues in the finals.

Actually he played really well his first year at college, he was rookie of the year in the Pac 12 and probably the best player in the conference. His issue was that in that year the Pac 12 changed some of its officiating rules. One of them was that you couldn't be to aggressive, so he was constantly in foul trouble most of the games. But his first year, he was a monster and no one could stop him but him self through foul trouble....teams did everything possible for him to foul out because if they didn't there was a good chance they would lose. The guy was murdering people in the post and that is why I am confused that the Celtics have never really posted him under the basket. With everything else, I agree with you...Sucks that even how well he played the Boston media only talks about how can Tatum improved...the guy needs to go to another team to get an equal chance...still remember about a month ago a very popular sports media from Boston saying that Brown was the 5 most important player in the Celtics....

And he was a beast on his aau teams where Tatum was his 2nd fiddle alot of people do know this. Also beasting against a stacked team that had simmons and Jamal Murry on it. As far as ime posting him up baffles me. They would post up smart and Tatum in the finals but made Brown come off a dribble hand off to get his buckets. No post plays no play ran for him and he got flamed saying he iso's to much. Like wtf else can he do when they're not running plays or putting the ball in his hands like that. When they did the offense sped up they flowed and got easy buckets. With Tatum it was pound the air out the ball on 3 defensive players flop and cry for a foul, bum a layup or take a stupid step back shot. I hope he ask for a trade this off-season if not he will be dealt in the fall with the Bradley Beal talk going on.

The guy is just to passive and doesn't like to create turmoil, so he goes on with his life; however, going to another team there will be more asked of him and he will have to be more vocal...with the Celtics it is going to be the same next year because the Celtics and the NBA at all cost wants to make Tatum into one of the next faces of the NBA because of his look and I am really tired of it because it really hurts Jaylen Brown.

@ 3 13. steal....gives.tatum the ball....tatum turns it over....runs back on defense and gets the chase down. now u watch that and tell me why so many think people are nuts for saying hes out best player. he already has the fg% every year over tatum... but sequences like the one i mentioned....you will NEVER see from tatum.....ok they stole it...no arm flaring...no need to look at the ref...get back on D an make a play....Elite....2way....Superstar period.
