While I can see you guys Build some awesome new trucks. What I like about your company is the way you guys take care of us small O/O guys! I had never done Business with your Company before last year. I was introduced to your Sales Rep. Mike Moore out of Madison. They have treated me better than any Peterbilt dealer ever has. I even introduced Mike to the Shop I was doing business with and he has been taking good care of them. I was in industrial sales for years and I took good care of my small customers because you never know what the future holds for those small guys. Keep up the good work! And I enjoy all your videos!
That's damn cool guys to have a ten yr relationship with a loyal customer and no emissions issues is priceless and I'm a 13 spd guy myself but my last truck I ever buy will be a 18spd
Love the truck except for the dummy simulated exhaust system. Everything else is spot on! That legendary grey paint is awesome on the upper portions of the cab and hood. Really pops in the sunlight... BEAUTIFUL!
I smile when drivers are bobtailing and leave the from a stop and don’t know how to skip gears. Thanks for the bunk view. Brought back memories of riding along with my dad.
An 18 can be shifted like a 13. A 10 speed loses to many rpm's from 8 to 9 and 9 to 10. I think an 18 is the ultimate choice since you can split only the top side if you want while still having the option for splitting the bottom side if need be.
Nice truck again guys. I'm up here in Alberta Canada and hauled lumber with a tridem flat deck and definitely an 18 speed is the only way to go nice to have the extra gears.
Awesome job! Could you please show some pictures of the weed burner exhaust so guys wanting to order trucks that way and do the exhaust know what it will look like. Thank you sir.
Rob Fortner I agree...if you have a driver who knows how to use them....We use a w900 with full lockers on heavy haul....when a driver hits blacktop with them locked we usually end up with a broken axle...
Fully locked in the mud is like driving on train tracks. She'll go, but mostly where its pointed. I usually only lock my front axle so i can steer better.
@@blairarmstrong3204 yeah that makes sense. These trucks nowadays are a joke the way the diffs lock. You still can’t go anywhere once you’re locked in.
Wow.....awesome build. Bill, if you are looking for a driver for one of those 389's, I'm in. Northeast tanker yanker, owned 2 as O/O pulling fuel up here. 5 axle, 11,500-12,000 gallons. My last truck had at least that many pages on build sheet. Single, and ready to relocate and be behind a hood doing fuel. Hit me up if/when interested.
I have a 2019 389 280" wheelbase. If you have 2 long drive shafts and 1 carrier bearing. You may wanna get the drive shafts chopped into 3, and add a carrier bearing. It's what I had to do.
You guys should do a chrome t on those straight pipes without the t for the flex only a hole so the water drains out when it rains not when you wash it either way
Do you guys send a private plane to pick up customers like bill rethwisch when they drop that much money with you guys. Great looking trucks you all making there at Fitzgerald keep up the good work. May have to come see ya on my next purchase
@@SEMICasualShow sure but why not hook up the pipes and do away with the horizontal part of the exhaust? That’s what I was asking. Sorry I should’ve worded it better. What was his reasoning for keeping it that way? Truck looks phenomenal guys!
Hi, Brain and Tommy. This is Clint C. and I sent you an email about the exhaust kits a couple weeks ago I was just wondering if you got it. Hope to hear from you soon, Thank You!
Just to be curious why would they put fake exhaust stacks on the truck that doesn't make sense to me beautiful truck though I just never heard or seen a truck with fake dual exhaust where is the exhaust pipe and why would they be fake why don't they actually work
My boss has a 2021 lonestar with a 605 Cummins 1850 torque we haul milk it has an 18 spd but it has no power if your on the highway loaded with 50000 lbs in the trailer it will drop 10-15 mph. Even running 70 on the interstate

I don't like battery blankets, they tend to catch fire. However I am a firm believer in the pads that go underneath the batteries.

You guys NEED to paint the inside of those stacks black so they look functional and old school!
Beautiful colors on that one too
I think if you connected the stacks underneath (together), you would have to really look hard to notice they weren't working. Great job, as usual!
Know what id do? Id bypass that dumbshit DEF EMISSIONS system into those stacks and peal off on the DOT!!!
Great job guys

Nice, but u overlooked the dummy stack is open and will pack full of snow.
They have a drain hole in the bottom of the elbow.
Wont drain when its frozen lol

@semicasual what zinc coating did you use for the frame?

Bridgestone tires, I thought Billy was a Michelin only guy?

I'm surprised the truck don't have heating headlights. Maybe it does and I missed it.
peterbilt Truck nice 389 llike good
Can you do straight pipes with the Cummins X15?
Not exactly, the exhaust after treatment system or “DEF” system has to stay in place.
Only if you deleted it. Which you would not want to do with a new truck. Voids any and all warranty.

Out of all the trucks yaw built outta those i like that one there the most. The weird thing is that i dont even like green or gray colors.
Hook up exhaust to stacks!
I love seeing these Pete but don't want to drive one because the interior is too small
What’s the cost differential to the automated 18 vs manual 18?
I think a 10 speed automation is about as big as I ever seen. I’m thinking because of the air split half gears the computer would be confused? Lol
@@kygambler22 Eaton makes a 13 and 18 automated as well as Paccar’s 12 speed

Pipeline facilities where i load Gas/Diesel at require upward facing exhaust.
Why stationary fifhwheel ?
They haul fuel, so no need to move the 5th wheel with their trailer setups. Plus saves weight and cost.
👍
What do you mean by data code
Like the transmission options are pretty lengthy, each option would be considered a data code.

We try to reply to as many as we can. The big thing is I typically check on the most recent videos. What kind of questions you got?
The exhaust is not hooked up. Weed burner is sad😔😔😔
Why the pinned fifth wheel, don't trust the drivers?
Does anyone use 15 speeds or 15 overs anymore?
I don’t know if that’s even an option. Been a while since I’ve heard of a 15 Spd
Yup but mostly in the Caribbean
Exhaust setup, Why? Just not right! Don't see the logic. LOL
I don't understand that either
You’d have to move the battery box/tool boxes, changing the look of it, and the def is really tough on stainless, it turns it blue
