I hope everyone is having a great day! 😊 I've seen many channels make videos on places to live on $1,000 a month, so I wanted to research this topic and make a video as well. I think for $1,000 to $1,500 or so, the countries in this video can offer a very decent quality of life. This is based on my personal travels to most of these countries and then research/talking to people, expats, and nomads I know who have been to the other countries. As always, I'd love to hear your own feedback and experiences about some of the cheapest places to live where quality of life is high. Thanks for watching as always everyone, and have a great day! - Tom
Thanks so much for watching and for the feedback! That is very fair, it's tough with inflation and how the world has changed. I so badly wanted to include Romania because I love it haha. Do you think $1500 is possible?
@ hear you!☺️ for a decent life and eating out 2-3x/week, a young couple would need at least 1500usd. Not in Brasov or Cluj though🙈 Greetings from this part of the world!🤗
@@fpopovici14 that is such great info to know, thanks again for sharing 😊 I really appreciate it. Hope you have a great weekend! Greetings from Canada (at the moment, haha)
Poland is on my travel list, it seems like a great country. I think many places in central and eastern Europe can be cheap places to live, especially when avoiding capital/big cities and going to some lesser known spots. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Poland was sooo great and underrated for beauty. I took the train first class from Warsaw to Krakow with my family for $27 a person! Great food , friendly locals , and stunning architecture
I've come on to make videos / continue the channel since he was too busy and has other projects. I love travel / the nomad lifestyle and hope you'll consider continuing to support that channel 😊 - Tom
Also excellent countries where cost of living can be low. I've heard so many positive but also some negative things about the Philippines, I'm very curious to visit there in the near future. Spain is lovely. If anyone has information about either country it would be great to hear about your experiences in the comments. Thanks for watching 😊
@@traveleconomicsSpain is beautiful with a huge variety of accommodation. You could probably find cheaper rent in some interior cities away from the Costa del Sol
@@traveleconomicsyou certainly can live on 1000 usd in the Philippines & in most of SE Asia but it won't be "lavish" esp if you're a foreigner & need A/C always. As with other places, it will depend on your lifestyle & location (1st/ 2nd tier city vs more rural area, eat out vs cook at home, etc). Re: Spain or Portugal, I doubt if $1000 will suffice - probably more doable $1500. There's also the 90-day limit on Schengen countries if one is a non EU citizen.

Hi there! I think in Romania you cannot really make it with 1kusd/month. Certainly not in Brasov or Cluj Napoca as you mentioned.

What about Poland? I hear they welcome Americans there. Also, Slovakia, Slovenia, Prague.
