After Arnor was broken its kings sent into hiding, the might of Gondor and the house of Elrond at last moved against the Witch King in Angmar. His armies of orcs and half trolls were at last dispersed and the Black Numenoreans made to pay for their treachery, but against the Witch King none dared stand. The king of Gondor tried to face him, but his horse was so full of terror he couldn't master it and the Witch King escaped the field mocking the son of Isildur. But the lands were given no respite. For although Mordor had been cleansed of orcs, though the Rangers of Ithilian and the Black Gates kept constant vigilance, the Nine came to Minas Ithil. Nine wraiths came alone to that ancient city that had so long held guard against Sauron's return. Nine wraiths came to that city at a time when their master was still but a shadow of his former self. And Nine wraiths killed every living thing within that city and made it into a tower of sorcery so black and twisted that no man would ever dare set foot in that land until long after the one ring was finally broken. There the last king of Gondor would die. Lured out from his great city of Osgiliath by the taunts of the Witch King he had failed to face. With nothing but a small honor guard he went into that blasted country and was never seen again. So Mordor was opened back up to the orcs of Sauron. So began the slow decline of Gondor and the failing of mankind's strength. For though the one ring had been cast down, the Nine would long bleed the world and prepare the way for their master's return.
The lore behind the Ring Wraiths is one of sadness and of great brilliance of both the writer and of the long-term planning of evil intentions. These nine were once great leaders in charge of leading and defending the kingdoms of men, elves, and dwarves. Tasked in steadfastness of will and iron spirits but all things were worn down in time. I have often thought of the full Fellowship to represent what each of the Wraiths once was. 4 Hobbits: Simple folk with good hearts and a love of the land 1 Dwarf: Stubborn and a born fighter but loyal to his friends 1 Elf: Traditionalist who sought to keep the old ways 2 Men: Those who showed potential for how they chose to be and lead in times of need 1 Wizard: The one who knew more than most and possessed great power but had the restraint and wisdom to be there and give help however possible. Can anyone else see what I mean or am I digging a bit too deep into this (Yes, I did read the books).
I think he’s referring to the demo version from the unreleased album Fist for Fight, which was intended to be their debut album before Primo Victoria came along. The entire album (I think; we would never know if there were intended to be more, if they didn’t release them) was released as disc two for Metalizer.
