This film, although undated, would've been made in late 1959 or maybe 1960 - the date of May 1959 is mentioned, as are jet plane flights, which started in '59.
The tone of racial harmony is particularly notable; many states in the USA were still segregated by law at that time, and the racial strife already occurring would get far worse in the '60s. Hawaii was usually cited at that time as a model for America to follow.

      The Joker
President Obama can’t claim to be a bona fide President since the U.S. Constitution requires the President to be a natural born citizen. Since President Obama was born in the Hawaiian Kingdom, and not born in the United States, he is a President de facto (in fact). I am not claiming Barack Obama is not a U.S. citizen, because he is by his mother (jus sanguinis). He is, however, not a natural born citizen (jus soli), which is a constitutional requirement to be President. During occupations of a country, international law prevents individuals from acquiring the citizenship of the occupied state through birth on the soil (jus soli) and can only acquire citizenship from their parents (jus sanguinis).

    • @kanakamaoli1733
      @kanakamaoli1733 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Joker
Where is the treaty for Hawaiʻi?
How did the United Staes extinguish Hawaiian Sovereignty under international law?
A joint resolution is merely a law, an act of Congress. It has no power to acquire the territory of a foreign, sovereign state. And as for the vote for statehood, more importantly who orchestrated the vote called the U.S. congress. The U.S. congress is limited to U.S. territory, meaning it does not matter who voted. And anything that was voted upon is still limited to U.S. territory.
So by all means, please do explain how Hawaiʻi is part of the United States?

Hawaii no ka oi. The business of the overthrowing and takeover of Hawaii by business interests and the US Military is a very big blotch on the US government. As is the overthrowing of native Indians and their lands and people. I am happy there is a large movement to bring Hawaii home to its sovereignty, but I fear it will not be successful. There is too great a business interest from within and without that will try to keep Hawaii as the 50th State of the United States. Hawaii's great princess Kaiulani died broken hearted after trying with all her might to protect Hawaii from the "conquest" of Hawaii by the USA. My heart will always pine for Hawaii. Though I am not there now, everyday I think of my Kailua and even what it was in the early 60's. I should write a book about life back then. Heck, to be honest, I may even include Kill Houli Day. But all in all. I still have my best friends there. And a lot of family, too. Both blood related and calabash. And that calabash is so unique. Hawaii no ka oi. May we get past this Corona business.

One thing I must say for those who don't know ,Hawai'i is not a state Or even a territory The story goes back .January 17, 1893, with a coup d'état against Queen Liliʻuokalani on the island of Oahu by subjects of the Hawaiian Kingdom, United States citizens, and foreign residents residing in Honolulu. A majority of the insurgents were foreigners. They prevailed upon American minister John L. Stevens to call in the U.S. Marines to protect United States interests, an action that effectively buttressed the rebellion. The revolutionaries established the Republic of Hawaii, but their ultimate goal was the annexation of the islands to the United States, which occurred in 1898. What their actions were illegal and it was looked upon as a act of war against a small and defenseless country President Grover Cleveland Was going to reinstate our Kingdom but he was assassinated before that could come into place fast forward a 100 years later President Bill Clinton apologizes for Illegal overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii. Education of truth based on facts is key.
Welcome to the weblog of the Hawaiian Kingdom presently operating within the occupied State of the Hawaiian Islands.
The Hawaiian Kingdom achieved the recognition of its independence as a sovereign State on November 28, 1843 by joint proclamation from Great Britain and France and by 1893, the Hawaiian Kingdom maintained over ninety (90) Legations and Consulates throughout the world. The Hawaiian Kingdom also has been a Member State of the Universal Postal Union since January 1, 1882, which is currently an agency of the United Nations.
Since the Spanish-American War, 1898, our country has been under an illegal and prolonged occupation by the United States of America disguised as if the Hawaiian Islands were annexed by a treaty. Justifying the seizure as a military necessity, the United States fortified the Islands as a military outpost which currently number 119 U.S. Army, Marines, Navy and Air force sites that take up 230,622 acres of land, which is 20% of Hawaiian territory.
Our web blog will provide up to date information on activities carried out by the acting government of the Hawaiian Kingdom. The primary objective of the acting government of the Hawaiian Kingdom is to expose the occupation of our nation within the framework of the 1907 Hague Convention, IV, the 1949 Geneva Convention, IV, and our domestic statutes, and to provide a foundation for transition and the ultimate end of the occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Article 43 of the 1907 Hague Convention IV mandates that the occupying government, being the United States of America, must administer the laws of the occupied State, being the Hawaiian Kingdom, and any deviation of this mandate is a violation of international law. Presently, the Hawaiian Islands reluctantly serves as the headquarters for the largest of the nine unified military commands of the United States armed forces in the world, U.S. Pacific Command.

That's the unfortunate truth -- however history would have been very different if Japan had attacked and claimed Hawaii before the US built up its power first. It was a strategic move that in the end was better for the people. Japan does not have a good history of being kind to conquered territories.

    Hello . My brother
The island of Hawaii is an Iranian name, as is the island of Hono Lu Lu
Hawaii in Persian means the place where the weather is mostly stormy. And Hono Lulu means an island that is as beautiful and luminous as an oyster
There are many Iranian artifacts in Hawaii that have been deliberately destroyed by the West, but there are traces of ziggurats (pyramids) that were dedicated to the sun and the "fire worship" of the ancient Iranians.
The Israelites learned the tradition of circumcision from the Iranians
Cyrus rescued the children of Israel from captivity in the city of Babylon and they lived in Iran for 300 years. Meanwhile, the children of Israel did not know anything about sailors and geography and their number was very small and the children of Israel are generally cowardly and ambitious people.
    God bless

You certainly have your facts confused. I grew up in Hawaii. My ancestors were anything but "cowardly." While mine were writing treatises on how to be better people and peaceful yours were still swinging from date trees. Israelites were the first to practice circumcision but only after being commanded from the Creator for the universe. Without that command there is no reason for circumcision. The children of Yishmael only practice it as they are descendants of Yishmael. Well, my dear cousin, I wish you well, but fact checking is a much better way of epistolary communication.

kimo schrader : Obama was born on August 4, 1961, at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital (now Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children) in Honolulu, Hawaii. His mother, Ann Dunham, born in Wichita, Kansas, was of mostly English ancestry. His father, Barack Obama Sr., was a married Luo man from Nyang'oma Kogelo, Kenya. Obama's parents met in 1960 in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where his father was a foreign student on scholarship. The couple married in Wailuku on Maui on February 2, 1961, and separated when, in late August 1961

I remember seeing an announcement regarding Obama's birth in the Honolulu Star Advertiser dated 1961. Assuming if he doesn't have any birth certificate, it is still a known knowledge that he was born here.

I came here to get a less biased source of information. But how did that "these names recall many lands, but all are American" civic nationalism work out for you? America has been pozzed for so long, even 1959 was too far gone praising the multicult.
