Wait! You came away from the Bengals v Ravens game more impressed with the Bengals (in particular their defense)?? If this is the case you have a serious bias.
The Bengals were the more desperate team and lost. If not for a Lamar unforced error (fumble in OT) the Bengals were about to outright lose with no excuse. The Bengals are who we thought they were, great pass game and an awful defense.
If anything, what was impressive from this game was the Ravens showing that they could win a game (particularly on the road) where the game script was not in their favor and they had to come back from a second half 10 point deficit 3 times.

Coleman TD: RT false start, pushed off Kamari, then a different replay angle showed his heel stepped out on his TD run. There was an opportunity where the Texans turned over on downs, fumble, interception, this game shouldn’t had been close. “Went the Texans way” bc the better team won

I just want to have this sort of break through moment with Robert ala Good Will Hunting.
Robert it isn’t your fault. You are allowed to express joy when your football team does cool things. It’s not your fault.
It’s not your fault the bears have a truly astounding history of being allergic to offense. It’s not your fault they constantly misaligned the GM, coach, and QB timeline. It’s not your fault they keep retaining mediocre coaches despite on the field evidence they’re bad more often than good. Divest yourself of the crushing misery. It’s not your fault and you’re allowed to feel and think positively. Until the next befuddling loss, but even then it’s not your fault.
Edit: also the raiders vibes should’ve been ejected into the sun when they hired Getsy. He probably isn’t the biggest problem but what that guy did in Chicago contributed to a toxic work environment and some serious QB mismanagement. He was a sniveling little shit that manipulated the media to his benefit frankly because all of them weren’t interested in losing a source and Getsy loved being an unnamed source. Pierce hiring Getsy was the equivalent of Isildur walking away with the Ring. They’re dead they just don’t know it yet.

Here's a stat that I half-expect Rob to know: Jared Verse's "pressures" are an illusion. They come late & only exist because the Rams' pass rush is SO weak that QBs stay longer in the pocket against them, long enough for him to pressure them. Eventually.
So, yeah, the Rams are done. Sympathy for Geno. Last season despite being 4th lowest in off-target % & the additions of JSN, Bobo & Charbonnet his play-callers were horrible. Now he's played his heart out 2 games in a row like he thinks this is his Last Chance & his team cannot stop the run.
Or pass. Their defense is terrible. Strangely, I think that he could make the Raiders a threat. Their D is still suspect but has pieces & even without Adams they have a ton of talent in the receiver room. Just who would be QB for the Seahawks? AOC?
That would be throwing in the towel. They won't do that... _will_ they?

*About Josh Allen:* look at his completion % since getting his head knocked back in last week's game against the Ravens. Pretty crappy, no?
He's been concussed _twice_ in two weeks. Anyone know how to contact the league, the Bills & point this out?
At best, it's another T-Law situation. He _just started_ passing more accurately after over a year. We can't be sure yet if this is permanent.
    That's at best.

@@joethomas6277 Ah, yes. The recap channel I see the games with spent _NO_ time discussing it so I wouldn't know when he got hit, but I seem to remember him getting rolled around after being strip-sacked on that play.
No one mentioned it at the time. But someone in a comment elsewhere mentioned his completion % tanking after 'an incident' against the Ravens. That's likely it.

The Bengals receivers are in the Ravens head? Lamar has lost once to Cincy and the Bengals needed a fluke 100 yard fumble return to beat the Ravens with Huntley at QB and Greg Roman as OC at home in the playoffs.

So, basically, you need to see more from Jayden Daniels after 4 weeks because he was playing soft defenses but Caleb Williams playing Tennessee, Houston, Indianapolis, LA Rams and Carolina makes him great??? Apply the same standards, please.
This show is getting more hype and narrative based than it used to be. Like, we are fans, we watch the games, we appreciate all the madness, we see all the good and bad plays.
We need you to do more. That more was what got me hooked to the show in the first plays several years ago. You were not JUST regurgitating the highlight reels of the past week.
Lately, you two sound like each others echo chambers. There is less depth to the good and the bad stuff teams do and less challenges to do so from each other. There used to be a lot more information, lot less bias and a lot more "this is what happened". Now I know in every episode you are going to spend a lot of time about the following: The Bears success/woes and Roberts emotional tribulations, Josh Allen is an MVP and has been for years. CJ Stroud is rainbow throwing unicorn. Sympathy for LA Rams (and "I don't want Stafford to fade this way"). Contempt for the NFC south. Brian Flores is a crazy MF. Homage to Geno Smith. Lamar is a superhero. I respect your opinions on all of the above but, there are 20 other teams in the NFL as well as hundreds of other players in the NFL doing stuff worth at least a mention. You sound more like fantasy "experts" that football analysts.
This is an appeal, not a hate post. I really enjoy the chemistry between you two and still I can't wait for the show to get out so I could maybe listen to it during my commute early in the morning (in SE Europe). Its just that more often than not I roll my eyes while listening to you and going wait, did you not just say a week ago that......
Of course, you are free to take the creative path you want forward and I am just a fan of the show, perfectly understand that and if I don't like it, well, free I am to find what I like elsewhere. I just think it's a shame. You guys know and did stuff better.
    Respectfully.

Again more bias - “Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins are in these Ravens defenders heads”.
Fact - None have had a good game against the Ravens since 2021. Another fact, Lamar Jackson is 9-1 against the Bengals all time.
Either you guys just love the Bengals and/or you do not like the Ravens? (which is fine either way) But should be honest about that instead of playing loose with the truth.

You guys have to do more research before putting stuff into the universe lol. The Ravens with Lamar as their Qb is 9-1 vs the Bengals and vs Burrow, Lamar is now 5-1. The Bengals receivers are not in the Ravens db’s head lol. The Ravens D lost 4 coaches including their coordinator last off season. Their current coordinator is a first time play caller so that’s why they are struggling early.
