We have a similar backglass for sale with some touched up scratches for $100 plus $45 packing and shipping! I will also bring one to the York show in October!
Man, love this guys knowledge of Gorgar. I have a Gorgar machine and would love something that would layout all the tips, tricks and how to for this machine. The manual is just to dry.
So much fun so many years ago. I was just dating my ex wife and we were both right out of high school. There were three things to do for fun (we won’t mention the forth). You could cruz the Main Street, go listen and dance to disco (yes, disco sucked) or you could go to the arcade. My ex was a marvel at Night Driver. She would use one token and driver all night. She would actually draw a crowd. When I got bored of watching her humiliate the machine, I would play Gorgar. I vowed if I ever owned a pinball machine it would be this one. I’ve never really had the space for one, but this is still on my bucket list.
I hope to own a GORGAR soon!!! I love that sound when you hit those lit numbers for sure!! Game has great sounds and man you could never do a theme like that now!! One of the coolest ever!!
TNT Amusements Inc You should hear what these older pins sound like with a powered subwoofer hooked to them..I have a Firepower & Black Knight with powered subs hooked up to them :-) !
gorgar is the only pinball i am decent at, so It was the first one that i chose to do a restore on, im about 90% done and cant wait to get it back together for its first play fully restored
Also, re the flipper angles - I played a Monster Bash at a pub in Hoxton a few weeks back the flippers were at a very high angle, i.e. closer to horizontal. As such hitting almost anything was nigh on impossible. Then mid game one of the plastics broke off and got wedged in the Creature Feature sinkhole.
looks like Pam ripped you a new one with the frypan !! seriously tho, that could have been a hell of a lot worse. glad to see you are ok Todd. 47 gorgars ? more than the number of waterworlds youve done !! another great looking gorgar Todd.
Hi I have a Gorgar machine for which I installed leds. They flickered and were quite annoying when the ball moved and disturbed my game. To fix this I installed a 47uF condensator paraller by the leds and the flickering was gone and playing was easy as with normal light bulbs.
WoW, those LED's are far too aggressive. I hope your customer chose the other ones. I am second owner of my Gorgar, had him 23 years now and it was in storage 10 years before me to boot. Before that it was only played Sundays by a little old lady at a Pizzeria until it went out of business. It even still has some of the original side rail protective tape on it and I don't have the heart to take it off. LoL
Gotta agree with the buyer of this machine...the LED's on the playfield are painful to look at. I think the bulbs are much better, especially on the classic machines.
The pox , hilarious and yes it really does appear that way. I'm against anything that changes the original look , LEDs can greatly alter any game especially when colored LEDs are used. I think the over the top color LEDs and super brite deals , people will look back and think what the heck were folks doing to pins in this decade !!
Kind of like looking back at a classic car which in 1989 someone may have went with neon colors , recall with cars at that time there was even a Dodge Neon ! Definitely didn't hold up over time and think all of the wonderful classic cars that were redone in florescent , bright , neon colors in the late 80s early 90s .... I think the insane over the top LED pin work that's popular now (for instance checkout many Fish Tales updates as of the past year , they add colored LEDs all over the place and while it does light up a game that's a bit dark , it totally changes the look , feel of the game, usually it's best to keep as the designers intended ). I am fine with the latest OEM pins designed to include LEDs.
cigars are technically better than cigarettes. should just buy Steven some e-cigs see if that works unless someone banned them.. not chinese ones. probably worse..
I think he tried them...he did quit for a few days but started again! And now Blue Cross is going to raise the cost for any smokers who have their coverage as a risk! Another reason to quit....
TNT Amusements Inc blue cross (yuck.. ) course I moved from WI to IA and it's Wellmark oh but it's not Blue Cross I guess. not getting into that. I know some who really like the e-cigs so might have to try a few like trying to find the right brand of smokes , good luck to steven
Gotta love the vintage lighting on this one. The back display lighting is top notch.
Her did choose the softer frosted LED's....I was sure he would like them better.
Thanks for posting Gorgar is my all time favorite machine! I believe this was also first talking pinball machine!
Richard Bain Yes it was!!
What was the second talking pinball machine I am curious!
I have to say todd Gorgar is my favourite pinball game of all time !!!
I so freakin Love that Backglass! I love how the Beast is looking down on the two little humans. Wouldn't mind just having the backglass

+wolvsbain Maybe this video will give you some ideas!

A brisk letter to the vending company of that machine is in order!!!
What did the buyer decide?
Did he stick with the super bright LEDs, or go for the frosted ones?
What does that go for? I think I'd only feel comfortable buying from you guys!
looks like Pam ripped you a new one with the frypan !!
seriously tho, that could have been a hell of a lot worse. glad to see you are ok Todd.
47 gorgars ? more than the number of waterworlds youve done !!
another great looking gorgar Todd.
Thanks John!! Yes, my eife clobbers me whenever!
Me Got You!!
I noticed that this Gorgar has amber inserts for D & E in the lanes. Mine has green inserts there. Were there production changes during the run?
that I do not know!
I missed many a class playing this in the Cougar Den student center while attending the University of Houston....
hopefully you still rgaduated! :-)
My jaw dropped when I saw the rig job with the fence piece. I hope he chose the frosted 'bubs' for the backglass...
He did!!
just can't beat classic gorgar.
People still want to buy this game! Lots of good memories it holds for folks!
+TNT Amusements Inc oh Yes this classic and Both Black Knight's is my most personal favorites.
what caused you to get a suture (or is it a staple or 2 in your noggin)
John Quillan A very sharp part in the lid of a jukebox got me!

You can also put a resistor in the circuit.
You should sell that piece of chain link fence on greedBay for $100 as "Super Fuse Jumper 5000!"
+Joe Newberry (On the Shoulders of Geeks) Great idea!!!
how much can I buy one of these Gorgar machines for?
Nowadays, they has escalated to $2999 with the super bright leds.
You are an interesting dude

Yes...he changed them out!
me want a Gorgar!!!!!
None recently...but you never know when one will come in!
The LED's seem to bleed through the back glasses too much
***** The lights in the head on this game are very close to the backglass....it looks better in person....
Hmmm, yes, the LEDs in the backglass makes Gorgar look like he has the pox. Too bright by far.

Playfield LEDs can look very sharp, but not necessarily on the backglass do they fit well.
I though gorgar used a mechanical record player for the voice like the Datsun ZX cars did..
I want a STARGATE DEFENDER
