Dude. The sheer brain capacity you had throughout this whole day. Figuring it all out, driving on the wrong side of the street for hours, finding all the stuff in the grocery store, and then still cooking this elaborate meal at the end of the day. While recording it all. ON THE FIRST DAY being in a foreign country. My respect. You are one heck of a travel buddy.
He had his research, and many other youtubers did this already in JP. But I agree that many people is lacking of common sense these days. All the 7/11's are the same concept. It isn't rocket science to get along. But sure, it takes a personality.
@@REALchocochan Im just wondering if you've done it? Going from a lifetime of driving on the right to driving on the left is difficult and it's not just the Japanese language it's their nuances, they can say one thing and it means a completely different thing. But nice of you to give them any credit at all. sheesh
6:57 Sports Authority was in the United States too! I had it in my home towns local shopping center but it closed down unfortunately, it was one of my favorite stores!
😂You are killing me with your Okonomiyaki in the dark😂 Good job for being so creative! Don… you are a good sport. Trust me. Nobody will bother you. You are in Japan. I am loving this new exploration vぉg❤
We love Donovan your besty! How cool a trip like this. You were the best friend. Oh and😂 first TH-camr to get a DUI in Japan 🤣🤣 holy Good to know because it really just looked like a Seltzer lemon drink 😂
I wish the title for the video was "I think we're driving on a walking track!" That was gold!!! Love this video and channel mate. Huge inspiration for an up and commer!
I really appreciate this video - great footage. I felt like I was there with you guys. Super excited for the rest of trips. You gentlemen have fun and be safe.
I love how you went from owning your own kei truck to going to Japan to experience kei camping in its proper fullness. Also the 7 eleven has microwaves for the onigiri and bun. It's a better taste quality when warm instead of cold.
It’s super safe, don’t worry about the window being open all night. No one‘s going to do anything bad to you, it’s Japan. I was just there, loved it, miss it, back in Cali now 😢
Japan with Don and his picky tastebuds is going to be a trip! Lol…I love Don. Very excited to see the view of Mt F in the next video and the local dishes you will be cooking.
The coolest part about this truck is the New Mexico license plate in there. That's pretty funny and random, of all places. New Mexico is home if you couldn't tell.
I love this friendship so much! & I got anxiety just thinking about driving in a country on the opposite side of the road than I’m used to in a place where I don’t speak/read the language lol props to you!
A good mental trick - the driver is always in the center side of two lane roads - right hand drive, center of the road; left hand drive, center of the road. Easy peazy.
What a great video! It's the FIRST time seeing someone traveling to Japan so relaxed. Love how you just do the stuff like anywhere..i would be so scared to just cook food in a new country because I would be too paranoid to shit my pants after lolol :D PS: oh and lil advice from a cook, if you use your knife to scratch, use the back side of it so the blade stays longer sharp!
So fun to see Donovan again! You guys make amazing travel buddies. Poor guy with his knees ALL the way up to the dash, haha. HOW does he sleep sitting up?!
LMAO! Bro, I lived in Japan when I was in high school and have been speaking the language for years. I saw you grab that alcohol drink and was just waiting for you to take a sip. Your reaction was classic!!! I was actually in Japan last month and we rented a small RV on the northern island Hokkaido for a week. Driving on the left and the damn windshield wiper/turn signal thing was a major PITA. Good luck on the trip, I know you will have a blast.
Hell yeah this is what I wanted for you to experience while in japan. If you ever go back try to go for a bigger truck. Might even give you ideas for a bigger van/truck build back home. Much love!
Im so glad you didnt make ready made ramen and actually bothered to to make that pancake thingy (srry idk the name), it looked amazing aswell, i might try making it too, great vid Ryan cant wait for day 2
Dude, we’re dying watching your 7/11 event with the Cooler.. we paused it before like WTF does he not know there’s booze in that… Lol. Watched it over and over. So epic!
First time I went to New Zealand had the same experience they drove on the left. It was fine after a couple of days. Japan is a place to visit for sure. Be safe be well. Food looks great once again. SJ Enjoy
OMG watching you drive there in the beginning scared the heck out of me. I work in the US for Panasonic and 1/4 of my Co-workers are Japanese (Wonderful, kind people) and Ithey bring us little snacks when they go home once in awhile if you can find it, try the Wasabi kit kat :)

No shade that’s typical American behavior. Americans STAY drinking especially in foreign countries
Japan! And with Donovan! Terrific trip! Thanks for taking us along!
It has been a long time since you were smiling and appear to be having a good time. EXCELLENT!!!

I really hope you 2 are REALLY good friends Traveling with someone is hard enough but traveling like this is a test of "friendship".
Not the unsuspecting alcoholic drink blunder. That was such a 'Tokyo Lens' moment, lmaoo!.
Norm would be proud.
'oh, it smells terrible'...I cannot stop laughing. Donovan’s face says it all-no faking that! Your honesty is on point!
100% Rave Review! It was so much fun seeing you both have fun. Love the laughter moments. The finale of star tracks over Mt Fuji....SPECTACULAR. 💥🔥🎉

I feel your pain, Ryan. When I drove in London, I hit a few curbs. Wales had turnouts to let another car pass. Great video.
