MARCOS is the special forces unit of the Indian Navy that is responsible for conducting special operations. MARCOS was founded in February 1987. MARCOS are capable of operating in all types of environments; at sea, in the air, and on land. In this video, we have covered the selection and training of Marcos and the Badges Earned by Commandos.

My father served in 75th Armoured Regiment of Indian Army(1968-1999) and he fought war in 1971, Punjab insurgency and Kargil war. Proud of him and the entire Indian defence forces.
My father's regiment has a unique distinction of being the only unit of any Army in the world to be raised on enemy soil (captured Pakistani Territory in Sakna, Sindh 1971 war; which is 26 kilometres inside Pakistan).

To get selected for Marcos is more tough than to crack UPSC. 🥺
If you want to become commission officer then you should clear UPSC exam. Because for officer entry exam will be conducted by UPSC.
No need of comparison , they are both totally different kind of selection tests

@2k videos done during training they give physical & mental torture that's why lifetime they suffer from side effects. My husband was a commando he often complains about body pains & also sometimes he's is mentally unstable.

But people fogets their first mission
In Sri Lanka of securing Jafna port from the rebels of LTTE in 1987
They secured the entire Jafna port in just half and hour without a single casualty. That's what we call a successful operation

In 26/11 NSG took the operation

Marcos were to rescue people in 26/11... It was NSG who did the operation and killed the terriosts.
Marcos only handle the situation and rescue hostages until NSG don't arrive.
Then they handover whole situation to NSG then Op. Black tornado was completed by NSG alone.
And prove of this is
NSG commando Major Sandeep Unkrishnan was martyred in that operation.
Everyone is a gangster till the MARCOS arrive on the scene...the best of the best of the best

They undergo such a difficult and stringent training, go for so many missions in which they fight fearlessly, hide their identity, unable to share their achievement's news with their families and lastly they have the courage to even die for their country, therefore, they are known as India's most lethal special force
I can't even imagine how tough their training might be and I got some idea about it after seeing this video. Really, they are the unknown warriors. They deserve a grand salute and respect from us

Those who don't know marcos commandos is world best regiment special force it's soldiers are trained in every field they are trained by international fighters and various fighting skills like Martial Arts, Karate Or Shooting skills they are master in everything.

Can a territorial army officer be a part of any of these forces or can they work with them in the attachment ?
If you join through territorial army Yes you have a chance to be apart of PARA as in TA we have parachute regiment and on deputation you can attached with other regular para sf units. ... But it is only with Para no other special forces 🙏🇮🇳 Jai Hind
