    • @ThePattyRick
      @ThePattyRick 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      YTgusty_ inch8 the MSF course is not required, that being said I would highly recommend it if it’s feasible for you. You will learn a TON of great skills and bike control. Especially the slow speed maneuvers! The majority of “drops” that happen with bikes are at a very slow speed and from rider error. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation even has a deal with the Honda Riders Training Center in Alpharetta, Ga. you are able to complete the course on one of their bikes. Included with the course!

  • @stablestoic1491
    @stablestoic1491 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    IF I got a mini it'd be the Z125, just because the top cylinder head wont run out of oil due to wheelie and it comes with a proper oil filter as well as having more torque down low in exchange for slight top speed advantage.
    I'm sure either bike is a blast though to ride. Much respect to the OG Grom.

      @@Kc2Heatz There are things a 1000 can do that a 300 can never do. I realized this after borrowing an R1 for a couple weeks. The electronics, the ability to ride on the highway without fighting the wind or dealing with not having a lot of passing power since all my power is down low... I want a bike that can do everything and that's where the GSXS1000F comes in. I’ve never owned a grom, but I had two friends buy stunted our groms and was privileged enough to ride them quite a bit and what stands out is just how stupid fun they are. You can do so much more with them because the fun investment price was so good! For me, the only thing that can beat a grom, in terms of fun factor, is a supermoto, but those definitely aren’t as friendly as a grom to someone who doesn’t have dirt bike experience! Love these bikes and believe that everyone who rides should own one at some point, myself included!!!

    On the insurance front
    My "wifes" 2014 Grom would not be insured because of the low displacement. Apparently real motorcycles start at 128cc or so
    which was a hilarious conversation with the TD rep.
    "If i bore it out would you take my money?"
    "yes"

    That's hilarious this video literally came out the day that I bought my Grom a bigger brother 😂. I've had the Grom for over a year now and it is AWESOME!! I just push it harder than it likes on trails, (bottoming out CONSTANTLY) I wanted something with more ground clearance, and something I don't have to full tuck on the freeway on! Besides that the Grom is still my daily!!

    A mini bike comparison would be cool. My wife wants a Vespa and need something to keep up with it.

    Do a here's why for battery leads. It's probably one of the simplest but best ease of life mods with accessory and batter charging.

    Groms are like the WR250R. I shouldn't own either because I know the hooligan stuff I would do with it. I grew up on Trail 70s and 90s along with Honda 4trx. We always did crazy stuff. We also had Arctic Cats for snow when the 4trx couldn't handle it.

    here's why the mt-07 is the next big stunt bike. with the amount of torque it makes even bone stock, it is a really easy bike to learn to wheelies and stunt riders are starting to see just how amazing this bike is for stunt riding

      It’s a great middle ground bike. Someone can go from a 1000 or a 125 and get that bike. Next thing you know they are 3 years later. I 100% agree with that bike for being a video.

    I currently own a 2014 Grom brought used n 2018 for $2,500.
    Already had some upgrades
    Insurance is $262.00 year full coverage which is $21.83 a month. I love it, a street legal pitbike/toy (Grom), i don't even ride my Honda CRF50 anymore, being that its not legal to ride on the streets.

    So. . . this was a well edited video. The bit about the "hoonigan" happenings in Atlanta
    was interesting... Not what I would want to do with a grom.
    Speaking of .. I am surprised Honda didn't make the Grom a 250cc bike. It would still be small
    and not intimidating, but at least it could get up to 55 easier.. on the highway?
