How does this compare to the original meetup for room size? I have a 12x18ft room, it just seems excessive to pay $2500 vs this for that size of a room.
@@UCStatus Sorry, i meant the Rally setup vs this new meetup. Do you think the meetup 2 would work for that kind of space? Just not sure about the audio and the digital zoom. I was just about to check out your other video, may answer some of my questions. Thanks for the response.
@StevenPenny okay that makes sense. Meetup 2 is designed for rooms of a our 10x10 feet or about 4-6 people. Rally system as you said is for larger rooms where you need up to 7 mic pods and optical zoom. However, Meetup 2 is actually more like a Rally Bar, mini or Huddle with framing modes and noise cancellation. For a space you mentioned I'd go Rally Bar
Meetup 2 has a usb-c connection on the back. The standard cable is c to c, and so is the optional active cable. It will work with a customer supplied usb-c to usb-a 3.0 cable. This only connects the camera and audio. You'll need hdmi to share to the display
The bar has an hdmi out to the display so you can see the digital signage on the display. But unless your display is also a meeting device you will need a computer to join a meeting. Eg mtr on Windows computes or a laptop for byod mode
Hello. Do you if it is possible to extend the range with an extra microphone like the original meetup? And is the meetup mic compatible with the meetup 2?
The range is already 7m or a little more without extension mics. Given its a Huddle to small room solution, that should be plenty. No you can't add extension mics
Very thorough and helpful review. Thanks mate!
Great video, super informative and helpful. Appreciate it!
Hey, thanks! Great video, but why is the sound in mono? It's quite distracting..
Keep forgetting to mix it to mono
Does my laptop need to support dp alt mode for the one cable connection to work? or does this work on all devices with a usb-c connection?
Everything supports DP Alt mode. Even phones and tablets that have usb-c

Meetup 2 is £849 not 2500. Mic pickup is 7m from the built in mics. It's a massive upgrade

Is Meetup2 backwards compatible to USB A? Will I be able to use the USB strong cable or 3rd party USB CATx cable extenders?

Do you need a computer to connect this? Or can it display directly to a tv/monitor with no need to connect a computer.

@@UCStatus 7m should be enough. Thank you for your reply. Already ordered 3. Looking forward to get them 😊
@fotografi4fun awesome. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Why does your camera keep zooming/cropping/moving around? Between that and mono sound, it's hard to watch.
Yeah sorry. I'll fix the audio and upload it again. I forgot to disable the auto framing on the camera.
Making me sea sick and I'm barely 2 minutes in.
