Many people from Latin America I’ve spoken to actually fantasize about america and Times Square. Some Japanese do the same with america, just like how japan is seen in america. The recent growth of Japan being viewed as sort of utopia has been elevated in recent years by their accelerated growth in the anime industry. Covid helped the anime industry a lot, so more people had outlets to japanese culture. And because it is so vastly different from culture here in the west, people saw it as fantastical and only saw the good in it. Idk just my take on this and if u read this far i applaud u lol😛
you should make a video about underrated places. The most underrated vacation destination I have ever been is probably poland. I went a week to Krakov on a school trip a couple of months ago. The first 2 days or so, everything there seemed so sad and depressing, but even though the people there seem cold, depressed and sad all the time, there, people are just extremely nice. Besides that, Poland has probably the most interesting history out of any country I have been to, and the city of Krakov is just beautiful.
Ofc I haven't been to that many places, I'm 17, but I don't rlly think that should matter. I find Krakow to have a nice look, because the way the city looks actually has ties to it's interesting history. But that's just my opinion
as a french person, i can definitely say that people will go to Paris expecting the best place ever but come back dissapointed and say that France is a bad country but tbh every other place in France is ok just go to a small city in France and it will be 10x better
Bro never go to the capitol of a country or any big city Go to the small communities or medium sized towns, especially in Europe, as every place there sometimes has their own specialty and history.
This is why it’s important to do research prior to going to these places. Instead of fantasising what the country or city is like just from watching films that make them look like heaven on earth. You’ll get a brutal reality check.
I did volunteering work in Skid Row last year. It is the most unsafe and deplorable place in the United States. There is so much crime & despair and these people need help. Severe mental illness problems and drugs are everywhere. It is so saddening just to see what these people have to endure on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter if you are traveling with a group of people as well, you are going to be targeted for a legitimate reason or not.
As someone who lives in Paris, I’m gonna have to disagree with you. Yes, there are bad things about it, but I wouldn’t say that Paris “sucks”. It’s an okay city to live in.

@@boomthestickboinever been to New York but I don’t think I will. I’ve seen how New Yorkers are. Maybe when teleportation exits maybe I’ll go and then go home after 30 seconds
After just visiting Japan I am a little biased to say that it was so worth the trip, however I do agree, we’d be on the train around 9pm and people were going home from their office jobs at that time T_T and one of our tour guides was telling us about how their economy is kinda fucked for them. Was a beautiful place to visit but just like every place it has its problems too
I swear bro, people make out Tokyo to be the most luxurious place in the planet, only to arrive there and see overworked people and a bunch of old people.
I know full well about Paris way before this video but I ended up with 4 things I kinda want to do in Paris. 5 if you include Anthony Bourdains advice.
Living there and visiting has very different concepts when it comes to judging a place. NYC is way too much fun, also as a tourist dont ever drive in the city dont ever think about renting a car just take public transportation or walk, but to live there is way too expensive.
Funny thing is that I went to 50% on what you just mentioned that being both LA and Paris and I almost immediately noticed the bad and just downright nasty sides of LA with the homeless people, the cruel and degenerate atmosphere and air that would probably even make vultures go away and I immediately noticed that this place was miserable and something was wrong *WHEN I WAS JUST 11!!!* but weirdly enough I just went to Paris like 3 months ago and I almost hardly noticed the problems you just mentioned well….except for the fast food places being everywhere I see my god I couldn’t have more then 3 seconds then seeing a FUCKING KFC IN THE MIDDLE OF PARIS *THAT’S ‘MERICA’S THING* but despite that my Paris experience was just simply nothing but beautiful I get to see the Eiffel Tower twinkle in front of my very own eyes which is something I haven’t seen in my entire life and I get to look at some gorgeous arts from humanity’s history in The Louvre despite the Mona Lisa which was let’s just say *REALLY CROWDED!!!* but yeah other then that the food was good, the aesthetic was really pleasing and I almost did not notice a single bad thing while I was there well expect for the fast food places being everywhere that caught me off guard and yeah I can generally say that being Paris in March 2024 (Yes it was that recent) was a lot better then being in the depressing, degenerate landscape known as LA back in May 2018.
0:40-0:45 nah thats in nyc cuz new york is basically 24hr access.. l.a. (hollywood, l.a. proper is just mexico at this point with illegal workers getting a dollar a day in textile) is for tryna be celebrity (through hard grind, backshots or bribing) but ofc its a filthy business and most people get jaded and leave. most people that get conventional good money, like city jobs, live outside of l.a. proper like glendale, sherman oaks, etc. most of the homeless is dumped by red states and they do that all over the west coast.
I have traveled to over 10 countries and I can agree that do NOT expect anything from the location you are traveling to because of media. Hell some cities are just very slight alternatives to LA or new york.
8:30: Literally every developed country will have fast food. I have visited many places outside the country, and at each one I have seen McDonalds and other fast food restaurants. Fast food is not just limited to the US
Japan work hours are crazy but as far as I know the US is the only place where workers don't have the right to go on vacation once a year (or to have X amount of days off during the year)

Krakow is not beatiful😂😂😂, bro has prolly been in only under 15different countries if you think krakow is beautiful
Ofc I haven't been to that many places, I'm 17, but I don't rlly think that should matter. I find Krakow to have a nice look, because the way the city looks actually has ties to it's interesting history. But that's just my opinion
Krakow is definitely beautiful
Bro did not just say it shouldn't be underrated then immediately tell me exactly why it deserves to be.
People are nice.... Bro, come on now

as a french person, i can definitely say that people will go to Paris expecting the best place ever but come back dissapointed and say that France is a bad country but tbh every other place in France is ok just go to a small city in France and it will be 10x better
Your final challenge: Navigate through timesquare without a scammer approaching you
Bro never go to the capitol of a country or any big city
Go to the small communities or medium sized towns, especially in Europe, as every place there sometimes has their own specialty and history.
Bro your skin got better and bro looks better in general . And it’s a cool video . W
I really don’t get the appeal of Times Square tbh. but I’ve never been there though, so it looks like if an ad break became a landmark.
ive been there hundreds of times and yea its not much.
This is why it’s important to do research prior to going to these places. Instead of fantasising what the country or city is like just from watching films that make them look like heaven on earth. You’ll get a brutal reality check.
1:29 if this Happened To Me, I'm Overcooked Like Obsidian
I did volunteering work in Skid Row last year. It is the most unsafe and deplorable place in the United States. There is so much crime & despair and these people need help. Severe mental illness problems and drugs are everywhere. It is so saddening just to see what these people have to endure on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter if you are traveling with a group of people as well, you are going to be targeted for a legitimate reason or not.
8:11 Paris sucks but there are other big cities that are great to visit and where you can explore the culture better without it being romanticised
As someone who lives in Paris, I’m gonna have to disagree with you. Yes, there are bad things about it, but I wouldn’t say that Paris “sucks”. It’s an okay city to live in.
@@bruhbobent yh but there is a lot of drama in Paris…It's not that it suck but people have their standards too high for it
