My husband and I went down there on this day, May 4th, our 23rd anniversary and found out that Disneyland was closed! We both said, "Disneyland never closes." It was by special invitation only. :( So we stayed another day and went the following day. I still remember my first time going in 1956. It is the most magical place on earth. RIP Walt Disney. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

Just think, in three years Disney World will be 50 years old too. I haven't been to Disneyland yet (though I'd like to), but I did visit Disney World during the 25th year yearlong celebration.
I remember being there. Was over to the left of the Walt statue torwards Adventureland/frontierland entrances. I remember lots of people booing Michael Eisner lol (music was cranked up for the video here). Was an awesome day. The Steve Martin stuff you watched instead of the stuff the President was really good while it lasted.

Awesome upload I enjoyed it a lot, but True Disney fans should be annoyed that Oswald appears to be excluded again from the celebrations.
Well that's all fine, the press release was 2006, you think they announce it the same day they sign the contract? no Oswald was exchanged in early 2005 with NBC Universal for sportscaster Al Michaels to release him from his working contract so that he could go work under Universals NBC Sport, the company saw Oswald as a fair exchange along with other assets they were aiming to obtain. The contract like many others, Disney being a Public company, their contracts are available to be seen
