I remember passing this place years ago when my son was small. Growing up in NJ we didn't have anything like this. Always meant to go back with my niece & nephews but never made it. Looks like it's been closed since 2010 & sold in '17. No plans to ever return it to a water park. Sad 😭
Wow that's so cool that you were actually here when it was going! I bet it was so awesome to see!😊 yeah it looks like it's too far gone to be repaired back to a waterpark with the current equipment there. Its very sad to see it in that state! I'm glad you got to see it in action and thanks for checking the new video out!! Must have been something to see the before and after !😊
Haha we should have done a slow motion run shot of us by the pool😂😂 that would have completed the video!!😄 I agree with you so glad we were able to get great coverage of this place! Big thanks for showing the spot to me and also for the killer thumbnail. Cant wait to see your view and drone shots!
Thank you Garnet! 😊 This was such a fun adventure. I had a great time looking around at all the old water slides and the lazy river. Definitely would have been a fun little park to go to when you were younger. Lol I don't know about that guy can't seem to shake him😂😂
That was really cool, I bet a lot of fun when it was operating. Which wasn't all that long ago! I bet the ramp was to run down to save someone in the pool. Faster than the ladder!!! Lifeguard Mike come save me!!! LOL!!! Did you throw a coin on the wishing 'slab'? or just your body again?! LOL! Thanks for another great video!
Haha Judy!👋😁 had to leave a coin on the slab!😊 this place was so cool to explore I wish I got to see it before it had closed. Must have been a fun little park in it's time. Sad to see it in that decayed state🙁 and that's my lifeguard chair! Out saving lives 😁😁
Thanks for taking us along with you Mike!!! I really appreciate the fact that you left things as they were. It shows much respect to the adventuring community!!! Can't wait to see where you take us next!!! Stay safe! 💕❤️💕❤️
Your so welcome Tee Spoon😊 it was my pleasure!! I'm glad that you came along with us on the adventure we had a great time getting to film this😁 I hope that's how everyone else approaches the adventuring/urbex hobby. Never take anything from a location! Unless its trash off a trail😊 can wait to have you along on the next journey and thanks for checking out the new video!
I can almost hear the kids screaming going down the slides! back in the early 80s when I was a kid water park even a thing! Our first water park, was one slide going down with not enough water into one pool! And nothing else along with it!!!!! And it was out in the middle of noplace!!! Hey great to finally see one of your videos Mike! Palo duro off JP
Hey Roby! 👋👋 I glad that you finally got to watch one of my videos too! I hole that you found this one as enjoyable as we did. And I hear you on those comments about hearing the kids screams going down the slides. You still got that feel walking around. So sad to see it decay away 🙁 and again thanks so much for stopping by the channel, I hope you can join in on the next adventure 😁
Thanks for taking the time to document this place, as it is one of the places I have been to growing up and then went back one more time as an adult, just before it closed permanently.
Great video - it looks like it had been a great Water Park in its day - I enjoyed taking this hike with you - thank you for sharing this cool video 😁👍💕
You're very welcome Elna😊 I definitely would have loved to see this little water park back in the day. It was nice to see all the old slides Mini golf and other water attractions they had their. We definitely got lucky with this explore I'm glad to share it with you guys😁👍 I hope you get to join me on the next adventure!!
Hey Sharon!☺ yeah this day of filming was all new things haha. Did cabelas, this video and I have one more coming from this day filming! Luckily we found this on our way home! So cool to see in person 😁
very kool! for some reason I usually feel sad when seeing abandoned places in disrepair...it's like they are polluting the land...but also at some places the energy is heavy and sad feeling like something bad happened there in their past.
Yeah this was sad to see decaying away. Because you can see how much fun the people must have had here and now it's an empty shell of itself. Terrible its past the state of repair to see any chance of a reopening. Lots of memories made there. I'm glad I was able to get a good look of the park and was able to capture what's remains!
Yeah they definitely could have made the golf course a little more fancy! 😂 probably nice to work a swear and hit the slides! I was shocked to see the concrete construction!
You have the best timing, Mike! 😊 getting ready to work my shift at the hospital, and here you've gone and posted yet another super cool and fun video! Thanks again for sharing such a cool explore with us! Keep the camera rolling! 😊 ❤ (abandoned toy = it officially abandoned haha!!)
Awww Jennifer 😊💚 you're the best! Jp and I were luck to see this place. Had a great time exploring here. I hope I can make the time at work pass by a little faster for you😁
You're welcome Linda 😁 this was super cool now I couldn't even imagine how fun it must have been as a kid ripping down those slides or hitting the diving boards! So sad to see it decaying like that 🙁 so happy you enjoyed this one. We definitely had a blast!
I had a lot of fun here as a kid. You sat on a foam mat to go down the concrete slides. If you lifted the sides of the mat up you went fast. You had to go slow sometimes cuz the concrete was painful if you took a turn too fast. Lol. The big green tube was great. Last time I went was 1992. I should have gone more after that just never got around to it.
Loved your video, love your style. Your delivery is always so relaxed and good natured, it's like hanging out with a friend. Thanks for my morning walk.
Aww wow! Thanks so much for the kind words😊😊💚 I appreciate that so much! I'm glad that you enjoyed the video and adventure! Was a blast filming here. Such a shame though that it's in such decay! And get ready to come along on the next adventure with me!😁
Mike this looked like a really fun place. Sad it sits in this condition today. Yes that Tonka truck is worth $. Just love your videos!! Thanks so much!! :)
Heya Marty😁😁 yes this was such an awesome find! So glad that jay and myself were able to show how amazing this place once was. It's really sad to see it in this state of decay considering it was a place for happiness! Loved those tonka trucks. But after rewatching it may be a remake as it the dump part was metal. If I remember correctly the old one were all metal! Still fun to see😊 so glad you enjoyed this one it was a real pleasure to make!!😊
I was the supervisor the last 3years for Durell and Tracy.. that corner next to the 12ft, was a tarzan rope at the top where you would swing across and fell in.. that park was known for injuries.
Wow thanks for that information! Looked like such an awesome place to spend the summer! Would have loved to seen it running! Shame for the injuries sadly!
Thank you so much Cindy 😊😊💚 in really glad that you enjoyed it!! I have lots more in store for the channel and I hope to have you along for some more adventures 😁
Well that makes sense now!!! Thank you for that information. My brain goes 100miles an hour when filming haha. But such a super cool spot to get to come and explore!
I like this adventure, it’s fun to imagine what it once was or even what it could be again , also looks like a cool place to film parts of a movie. The lifeguard chair would make an awesome place to sit and “stargaze” , very unique find 🙂
This place was so cool Angel!☺ I had such a great time getting to film this park. Was so neat to see all the older slides and mini golf courses. Would have loved this in my town!! Sad to see it decay away😔 I'm glad that you enjoyed the video as much as we had being there!😊
Miss this place. I worked there as an actor for their haunted attraction Terror Hill for 4yrs (until it closed in 2007). So many good memories there, so sad to see it in that condition. Tried finding stuff on Terror Hill, but nothing seems to be out there anymore.
wow so cool it was used as a hunted attraction also! lucky you got to enjoy it. i had a great time exploring here and would have loved to been there in its prime
Heya Adz! I would have loved to seen those slides in action. Looks like a pretty cool little waterpark ! Thanks for coming along with me on the adventure!☺
Also, since I don't see this among the other comments, the mysterious carpeted slope around fifteen minutes in was where they had a swinging rope for swinging and jumping into the pool, the carpeted slope was to soften the landing if you didn't let go and ended up swinging back towards the platform.
Wow! Thanks so much for coming over to check out my channel!😊 love getting to be on the livestream shows haha. Well I hope you find something here you like to help pass some time! Have a bunch of adventures to choose from 😁 and I hope to have you along with us on the next journey 😊
I pass by this place every time I go to Allentown, and this is near Reading, PA. It always looked so cool but I never knew it had a golf course. Next time I will try to explore this abandoned water park. You should check out this abandoned golf course in Gettysburg, PA, I also want to check that out.
Hey Jeremy! Thanks buddy this was pretty awesome to get to explore. I always wanted to explore an amusement park or waterpark. So much fun. I'll definitely look into that location! Thanks for coming over and checking out the new video. Keep putting up your good work!
15:00 that is because there was a huge rope to hang onto and swing off of it was kinda sketchy but it was so much fun! the carpet was so you could kinda run down the side to go faster
I think that carpeted ramp was also a bit of a safety feature, it wasn't always there. I went to this park as a kid and seem to remember someone once let go of the rope swing too close to the edge and hit their head on the concrete before that ramp was in place. With that ramp if someone fell they'd hit wood instead of concrete and it also provides a ramp to walk back up to the platform for those people that forget to let go of the rope when over the pool.
Thank you, Jon! Was definitely a fun surprise we didn't expect to find on the way home. Glad we got a chance to take a look. Yea definitely check out Jp video. He should be releasing it in the near future!
@@OutNaturing I live nearby and pass this many times every year, but never set foot on the place. I do remember when it was still open and how packed it would get. Very cool. It would be really sad if a couple of kids wondered in there and fell in the 12ft pool and drowned, real sad. But still very awesome video Mike thank you for taking us along too bad JP was in a hurry....
Such a great place! Had fun getting to explore the park! Wish we had more time too! Yeah that definitely would be a shame if a child drowned there. Hope that's not the case! Thanks again David for following along on this adventure with me!😊👍
I am curious about whether or not the owners would be responsible if a child drowned in one of those pools ? The water looks green it doesn’t look very tempting but small children don’t need much to get them interested and something terrible could happen - the owners should make sure that those pools cannot collect water 💦. Beautiful explore in any case 😁
Yeah I agree. I would imagine that the land owner may be held responsible. But it's all fenced in the whole property so I guess you would have to get into the area to fall in. So most likely no trouble. But yeah most abandoned pools are usually filled in so that doesn't happen!
wow, really!? so close!! we were just passing by on the way home from our days adventures and just couldn't pass up checking this out. looked like it would have been a blast
The property was sold in 2017 to the owners of a vineyard and winery near there. They also own the land around the park. In 2018 they had an auction to sell everything in the park. It was first sold in 1998 then the original owner bought it back about 10 years later and reopened it in 2011. He closed the park in 2014 due to his age and health.
