Although I like both leathers, I prefer the lambskin, but my heart just loves the look and feel of lambskin! When I went to buy my Jumbo Classic Flap Bag, I did a lot of research and ultimately decided on the lambskin for aesthetic reasons (and the weight difference you mentioned).
