You can take the measurement and adjust accordingly. Once a circle is make, try it on to see if it is not too small or too big. If you feel you need a smaller or large size, adjust accordingly. Use multiples of 5; however, you need the even number of stitches. As such, if you use 15, 25, 35, 45, etc. add 1 chain to get to even number. I also have a written pattern and the link is in a description.
I do not have the written pattern but posted a picture, please see the link below.. You crochet dc and dc, in previous row 's dc, dc group and 4 dc become group of 6 dc and then group of 7 dc. I hope this helps. th-cam.com/channels/6bDSSKmdqA4zkt_6aOnkKg.htmlcommunity
I have just tried to finish this piece and 1 skein is not enough! I am missing not even a yard to complete. Very disappointing will have to go out and by another skein!!
Your finished item is beautiful. I am in love with cowls. However, I could not follow your oral instructions. They were not clear. You knew where you were going, but I didn’t. And without CC or written instructions, well just know I am saddened.
I am sorry about that. Writing the patterns takes time and I just do not have enough time to get to that. But I would suggest to watch the video in slow mode. You can go to settings in a lower right hand side, click settings and select the slower playback speed. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions..
@@KnitandCrochetDesign Thank you for responding. I appreciate your time. I am really upset 😭 bc I want to make your cowl! It’s different and I like that. I tried writing the instructions down, pausing the video… but that didn’t work either! 😵💫 I’ll try to figure out how to slow the video down. Someone suggested that also. But I haven’t figured that out yet. I’m going to keep trying and I’ll let you know how I made out. Thanks again! 😊
The settings icon is on a right hand side at the bottom of the video in the opposite side from the play button. Once you click the setting icon,, select "playback speed" and then click on "normal" and the other options will appear.
I would like to make your beautiful crochet neck warmer, but it's too hard for me to follow you, because you have your camera too zoomed in. It would be better, I think, if you were not so close up. It makes it really more challenging for a person to really see what you're doing. You are a very good teacher, and I love your work, but it's just simply too close up for me. Thank you for considering zooming out 2-3 times.
Thanks for your feedback. I also wrote a pattern for this neck warmer and you can find it here: www.etsy.com/listing/1335609485/crochet-pattern-scarf-neck-warmer?click_key=aa249aa26f23cb92c3f0bfcbfde52782bb79bf9b%3A1335609485&click_sum=cf151819&ref=shop_home_active_1

This is so pretty. Can I make one with 4 medium weight,?? If so, how many chains.??
Hi, thanks for sharing. What if I want it longer, covering my arms, what should I do?
Would love to make this, but you didn't share how much yarn you used so I'm not going to take a chance to run out of yarn.

Thank you so much for this. Is this for children or adults though? I tried it and felt it was too small?
This is for adults. You might be getting it smaller if you are using thinner yarn or smaller size hook.
@@KnitandCrochetDesign thank you for your response. The hook is fine, maybe it's the yarn.
I have just tried to finish this piece and 1 skein is not enough! I am missing not even a yard to complete. Very disappointing will have to go out and by another skein!!
I am so sorry to hear that. I made in 2 colors and 1 skein was enough of each color. It may be that the skeins I used had more yardage.
It's absolutely confusing when you increase its so weird I tried my best to follow but ended up with something different design of my own hehehe

check your math: 70 +1-2 is not 70 stitches at the beginning.
I think you are commenting to the wrong tutorial. The starting chain is 36.
Nice but your instructions are very confusing
