Two of my favorite under-appreciated armies clashing in a nailbiter! Some of those rolls were truly ridiculous, and I love it
Those Skaven look sweet. A little more warp-glow for pop would make for an insane effect, though!
i thougt he only painted like 5% of each mini, the rest looks like black primer and a quick dry brush. i find them really dull an boring.
@@bopo900 true, I cant tell which minis are painted and which arent in 95% of cases. Truly boring painting style and for me it does not provide a "grimdark" painting stlye either
@@larslinden2862 it might look better in person, I find that a lot of painted atmies look much darker than in person.
The goblins look nice. The skaven look primed. Cool painted minis are important in battle reports.

ALLLLLLSOH (Scottish Accent), one of the great things about the Skaven is their games are always nice and short. Either they blast their opponent off the board or they self-destruct in spectacular fashion.
This to me is what AoS is about, stupid bundles of silly minis, love it and so much fun to watch!

Great Bat-Rep, those Skaven look Metal as hell super cool. I like that how the Goblins and Rats were actually a fun match, usually they get crushed fairly handily.

Very fun game to watch. I love the table top, so colorful and fantasy. And the armies are painted so wonderfully subdued, just awesome. 👍
After watching the battle, the skaven are not merely primed, they looked very dark in the intro.

Prime black (used chaos black)
Base coat flesh. A dark brown. I used rhinox brown
Base coat fur dark grey ( eshin grey)
Base coat metallics. dark silver ( leadbelcher)
Base coat
Claws/teeth/belts
Light warm brown ( steel legion drab)
Base coat clothing dark teal ( dark reaper)
Tail/ skin dark pink flesh tone ( bug'smen glow)
Base coat tails
After layer/drybrush the flesh start light so you don't lose the brown underneath.
Base eyes red ( mephiston red)
Drybrush white phase. After Base coating lightly try and catch edges.
Wash phase
Heavily wash with
Nuln oil
Agrax earth shade
Bel tan green
This phase I did wet blending kinda but I would put nuln on the whole model then add the others. Try to mix on the metalics kinda. And of course try not to let it pool after such a heavy wash.
Warp stuff is painted white before putting bel tan greenshade on it. Lightly reapply white if u you want
Sand was painted eshin grey. And drybrushed with a white.

How can you pile in or end your charge closer to the clanrats after declaring the globadiers? Dont you have to end closer to than where you started?

Always count wounds suffered from down to up (not how many you have left)! There is abilities that make more sense if you do that (like orruk megaboss "strength from the victory")... 😏

I am very new to AoS and I am currently building / painting my beasts of chaos army (bullgore oriented!). I am disappointed that Matt didn't play Dwarfs to keep shifting into the scottish accent by accident.
Thinking heavily into making a troggoth heavy gloomspite gitz army before building an orruk warclans kruel boyz beast pack.
All gitz seem to be hurting right now, but all troggoth is a cool concept. i'm waiting for a book update to do an all Squig army.
@@shadeling6717 the orruk war clans don't have any squigs. Your best bet is a gloomspite gitz army. They've got a host of squigs to choose from. The kruleboyz have some nice beasts including mirebrute troggoths which is why they have potential for a nice beast pack build.

Which is the best way to use squigs for gloomspite?
3 groups of reenforced Boinggrot Bounty Hunters, supported by two manglers, the boss on giant Squig, and hoppers for battle line is a pretty legit army, when used in the Jaws of Mork

AoS is better than 9th Edition at the moment.
This really showcased why this mission is so tense and interesting. I love how Gitz have the tricks to pull things like this off.
I recommend using Skraggrot's shooting to put shots into softer targets. 5 wound support heroes. Weapons Teams or Warp Lightening canons who will then be more at risk of taking additional mortals for more shots. Even wizards with the curse on them can drop to a lucky miscast.
He's become one of my favourite models because of his ability to put vulnerable units on borrowed time and for forcing opponents to make difficult heroic action decisions around who to heal
