I felt cheap suggesting bacon, but I'm glad you gave it a go! I think the Cajun seasoning idea was the most creative, readily available, and maintained it as a vegetarian sandwich. This was a neat addition to the channel!
Granny Smith apples with salt was a lunchbox staple for me for years. I also ate the same apples with sharp cheddar cheese and made sandwiches from apple slices and peanut butter (with or without the cheddar slice). All good memories from my childhood, so thank you for reminding me of such happy things.
Glad I found this channel. I was blown away by the combinations that I had no idea would work. Been following for a couple of weeks and I like the video length, your presentation style, and you seem ok too. Can definitely tell you love a good sandwich LOL
Can't wait for the Revisited Revisited episode where we get combos of the plus ups! My votes are for Cheddar + Granny Smith Sriracha, Thai basil and chicken (kinda a satay sandwich) Banana + hot honey
I don't know where my mother got the idea, but there is a sandwich my family fed to us as kids I'd love to see you try: the milk sandwich. 1. Regular peanut butter sandwich on white bread on a plate. 2. Pour milk across surface of bread until soggy. 3. Flip and apply milk on other side. 4. Use fork and knife to cut in squares and eat. Bon appetite!
Aw you didn't try the "anchovy paste" plus up.I am disappoint. But on the other hand, that "one bite" method would be neat on a whole sandwich.Just one bite of different plus ups over a base layer.Hmmmmm
My brothers and I thought we would try to see who could make the grossest sandwich when we were kids. I chose PB, yellow mustard, and American cheese. I still eat them to this day...
As a peanut butter lover I have to say that this is an abomination! I could smell the hellfire as you prepared these mixtures. Might I suggest a sandwich that I made in 1973 as a 5 year old? Peanut butter, Spam, lettuce, sliced cheddar cheese on margarine spread on untoasted bread.
Originally thought the curry powder but now think the Chinese Five Spice is better. Love that stuff. Now you need a peanut butter, spice, cheese and basil sandwich.
TEN plus-ups?! You spoil us, Barry!
The cheddar cheese is visionary actually. I would go so far as to say 'what if cheddar cheese and the granny smith apple'.

Just suggest panceta... Or make the bacon sound uppity.... 🤣
@davecooley2675 no no, I felt cheap suggesting bacon because typically plus ups should not be meats haha
Props for giving them all ratings.
This channel really hooked me! I don't see how you sustain a video every day.
Gotta eat lunch!
@@SandwichesofHistory 😂Point!
That was a really fun one. Thanks Barry

Banana ... bacon... sriracha... scandalized eggs.. a tortilla... I love the possibilities this humble channel opens up. Great work brother.
The dude who suggested the chicken is now rethinking his purpose in life.
Great episode.

Thanks, man. I appreciate that.
One of my favorite ones you have done.
What a glorious day…ten “a-go”-s in one video!

Ten plus-ups on one sandwich‽ Whatever did we do to deserve such a luxury?
Sharp cheddar, Peanut butter A N D a runny fried egg. Take my word for it.
A CLASSIC

TEN! TEN PLUS UPS!!@!
Honestly, that Chinese five spice with those ingredients sounds pretty good. I might actually try that, who knows?
Very cool video!!!
Thank you very much!
Onion is the only thing that could plus up a peanut butter sandwich
🤢
This tells me your audience knows of which we speak 😆
Top 10, nice!
Interesting, When I sort on top comments for the old video, I see most popular options being candied jalapenos and ginger jelly.
I just picked up some 5 spice powder, so I will try it.
Very nice and the rating is pretty much as I though it would be.
BAAM BA!... (dramatic voice) Previously... on Sandwiches of History
What if you took all the plus ups you'd make again, add them together and give that a go?
Might be less like "party in my mouth" and more like "gang warfare" 🤔
😂 true
I would like to know if you’re using a pure peanut butter or if this the kind of peanut and sugar confection often sold as peanut butter, please?
all natural
