Hi Anu - The "Measure" app on iPadOS & iOS use 3d mapping technology to determine the distance from your phone to pixels captured by the camera, and then uses that information to estimate the distance between points in the real world. What kind of mapping technology they use depends on the device - on the iPad Pro models with an A12Z or M1, and on iPhone 12 Pro [Max], it's using LiDAR to generate a "point cloud" that consists of the pixels the camera captured represented in 3 dimensions. On other devices, Measure will use multiple cameras to capture depth using the Parallax Effect and convert that to a point cloud to do something similar.
